I've only had it for a day but it's great! I might actually get my cat to loose a little weight. My only problem is the print on the instructions for the app is so small I had to get a flash light and a magnifying glass to read it !!

It was easy to set up and easy to change portions and number of feedings. For one cat it lasts a long time. My kids loved setting the feeding time to their voice, and you can give your cat extra snacks during the day without it messing up the schedule!

I bought this for portion control as my cats are FAT. Being able to record a custom sound is a nice feature-- I recorded a sound of a slot machine paying out as they hit the jackpot twice a day when it feeds! They always come running.Portion size with the Pro Plan cat food I'm using works out as 1/16 of a cup per portion size number.Note the included desiccant pack is unnecessary, only lasts like a week, and is a gimmick. It doesn't detract from the experience of using the feeder, but it's not necessary to replace. Just throw it away after a week, or throw it in a drawer and don't use it.The app is simple to use and I encountered no issues setting up the feeder through the app.I recommend this.

The media could not be loaded.  At the risk of being overly dramatic: this feeder has literally changed our lives. Whenever we go away, which certain times of year is somewhat frequently, I have someone who comes to feed Kitty her wet food (I have also had an automatic water fountain for several years) and check on her once a day. Because I cannot get someone in more than once a day, I would leave a perpetual feeder full of dry food that would be available to Kitty 24/7. But my tiny-frame, 15 lb kitty is a glutton. Normally when we are here, she is on a strict diet of 1/4-1/3 cup per day of dry food. When we'd go away I'd figure it's only 2 or 3 days several times a year of her having a free-for-all with the dry food, it won't kill her. Well, when we went away a couple months ago, I came home to copious amounts of cat vomit EVERYWHERE... all dry food. I realized for her health and my sanity, I had to find a better option. I researched all of the feeders under fifty dollars (which I felt was a reasonable limit to spend) I found on Amazon and this one had the most positive reviews. The only thing that was annoying was that neither the ad, nor any of the reviewers, stated exactly how much a serving is and, as I said, my Kitty's diet is strict so I made sure I added that detail to my review. 1 feeding dispenses 1 TBSP. kibbles. I'm sure this will vary slightly depending on the size and shape of your kibble. For us, this is perfect. She gets 1 serving every 6 hours except her 8pm serving, which was always her dry food dinner time, she gets 2 servings to total just under 1/3c per day. I thought I would only use this feeder when we went away like I did the perpetual feeder, but this has been so wonderful, it is our new permanent daily feeding station. We never have to worry now about late evenings when Kitty would have to wait for food or if there was a last-minute need to spend the night away and poor Kitty not getting her coveted kibbles untilbover 12 hrs late. She also seems happy to get small portions throughout the day and night rather than all at once and bonus: no more vomiting because she only gets 1-2 TBSP at a time. Another concern was that she is a feral rescue so she is VERY skittish about noises, movements and any new or moved object so I was worried she might be too terrified of it to eat from it. But, after running away for a couple of seconds then approaching cautiously the first 2 or 3 dispenses, her kibble addiction overrode her fear. By day 3, this girl already learned the schedule. She now appears before the bowl about 3-5 min prior to dispense time and waits for it. When we went away last week, my cat sitter messaged she would not be able to arrive to give Kitty her wet food in the morning and would not be there till later that afternoon, so I went on the app on my phone from hundreds of miles away, and was able to immediately dispense Kitty a serving of kibble and also adjust the afternoon feeding to keep her within her total allowed for the day. The feeder is a godsend, honestly. I really can't say enough good things about it.

This cat feeder is great! I can schedule a feeding time through the app on my phone and I can feed a single time manually through the app as well.

The product I received does not have a screen and there is no way to increase or decrease the portions. As you can see from the photo, I don’t have any up or down arrows to set portions. The buttons that are on the front of the feeder don't do anything, despite being lit up. There’s no way to set the size of meals, only to manually dole out a single portion from the app on your phone. I will be returning for another brand immediately.
