The North Face Borealis Backpack

I love this backpack. I love the laptop slot and I love the front pocket where I can put all my stuff in.I love the design and I love how it is waterproof. The one thing I don't like about is the size of it. I was thinking that I could put in massive amount of stuff in my new Borealis, but this bag doesn't hold as much stuff as I expected it to.But overall, I love it!!

This is one of the few products I am truly proud of. I have owned this backpack since 2012; it has since been with me to Russia, Brazil, Syria, Mexico, Lebanon, and to Italy (multiple times), Britain, Germany, and Canada. It has been with me to camping trips, concerts, moving, tours, two masters degrees. It looks just as it did when I first got it- and it only has a tiny tear on one of the side cup sleeves. This might be the last backpack I’ll ever need, and if I need another one it will be from North Face.

Ok, this backpack is near perfect. For one, it's super comfortable. Seriously, my back is already thanking me, as I usually carry a fully and heavy bag.But here's my only wish: The main compartment is smaller than I expected it to be, but the room northface took from the main compartment, is added in the secondary compartment.Everything else about the backpack is great, seriously a great buy. I measure construction sites in NYC and having to haul everything is a chore (level's, keys, iPad, field folders, ect). Has a huge amount of space, more than you would think.Many different hooks and ways to attach items to the outside and a few well placed hidden pockets.The material is great, takes a beating and cleans easily. The straps are padded and very comfortable.A+ Product.Update #1: For the first time since I purchased this I brought it out in the rain. While it's not rainproof it does wick off the rain pretty well. Where it fails is the Northface logo stitched on the front. Since its stitched all the way through, it absorbs water and becomes a channel directly into the bag. I think I'm going to ducktape over the inside of the logo. I still give this 5 stars, it never claimed to be waterproof.

This backpack is perfect. I hike packs of dogs in the mountains every day and need a good backpack. This just feels well made and like someone really cared when they made this backpack. The compartments on the inside and outside are just about perfect, though I wouldn't mind a larger pouch on one of the sides, but that is no big deal. The zippers are very smooth, large, and sturdy, I can't imagine these breaking. I've had the pack for about 2 weeks, and lay it in the dirt every day, (about 14 hikes laid in the dirt so far), and it just isn't getting dirty for some reason. It fits very comfortably while I hike, and I really can't explain it, but it just makes me feel good to own it. Probably the only backpack I will need for a long time.

North Face backpacks are typically unsurpassed. Unfortunately this backpack should be passed on if you're looking for a day pack or gym bag. The addition of the laptop sleeve with associated padding makes for an awkward feeling and uncomfortable experience when wearing. Access to the main cargo area is limited as well which makes packing this bag frustrating at times.

Northface is known to be a quality brand for a reason and this backpack is proof. I bought this backpack for my husband years ago and it still looks brand new. I have purchased one for myself after seeing how well his has held up over time. I would highly recommend this product.

color was incorrect. stated is was black, but received a gray one. It stated it had a padded laptop sleeve inside for up to a 15" laptop, mine did not have that. All considering, the seller was open to a refund and apologized for the mistake. We ended up keeping the one sent.

One of my best purchases. I use it to go to uni and also as my one bag in air travel. It holds a lot and it's not worn out even after hard everyday use.Really recommend this one.

This bag is great and is very spacious for my day to day needs. Much more comfortable than my previous bags on the back itself.
