Buy Jump Ropes Double Unders Jump Rope

I use this jump rope every few days. I've never used a thin, whip-like jump rope like this before but I instantly liked its lightweight feel.Although I can't do the double unders yet, this is certainly the jump rope that will allow me to do so. I often put on headphones with some electronic music beat around 120-130 beats per minute and you can kind of time your jumping to the beat. Sometimes I bounce/jump/bounce/jump when I'm swinging the rope at half pace, and then other times I'll jump once for each rope swing at double/fast pace. Either way, this jump rope accompanies my needs. You can go REALLY fast with this product. As your speed increases, you will no longer see the rope but you will hear a very cool whipping sound. They really should call this product a "Jump Whip".Speaking of whips, one word of caution if you've never used a thin jump rope: Wear a long sleeve shirt or a sweatshirt until you get good. A few times while trying to fast, I accidentally lashed my entire forearm with the "jump whip" that left a long lash red for about 3-4 days. Kind of a cool battle scar, I suppose.Sometimes I've slightly tripped or stepped on the rope causing the handles to fly out of my hand and hit the concrete. So far after a number of times doing this, the handles have not done anything cheap like crack open or break off from the rope. They seem to be pretty securely fastened to the rope itself.For the money, this is a fine product. If it breaks eventually, it's not like they are that expensive to replace.

The rope is excellent and the price is fair. The design is simple with a swivel inside each handle that facilitates turning of the rope allowing the user to focus more on wrist coordination and the jump. The application of a couple of drops of light oil or WD-40 inside each handle lubricates the swivel to turn even easier. The steel cable is light yet sturdy enough to not drag as it easily cuts through the air. It's recommended not to use this product on cement or asphalt promoting wear on the cable. My solution was to strip the jacket off a 24 inch multi-pair data/phone cable and place around the steel jump rope where it bows. I use the rope almost exclusively outside and notice scuffs on the jacket that will eventually have to be replaced. The jacket causes a bit more weight and drag but is a good trade-off since the rope performs so well. To be more consistent at double-unders I'll have to reduce the size of the jacket or remove altogether. A previous reviewer mentioned the adjustable collar and screw coming loose. I applied blue lock-tite to secure the screw before cutting the cable to size. It was a permanent cut anyway so if the collar screw ever does come loose or the cable breaks at the handle due to repeated misses on the jump it's will be a simple matter to replace with a permanent aluminum compression collar from any local hardware store. Another solution would be to leave enough tail end when cutting to tie a knot that will hold a loose collar onto the cable in case the screw does get lost. For someone that only does basic jumping with relatively few misses per session this rope should last years if properly maintained.

I was looking for a simple, light, fast speed rope to do double unders and found this one here. I was tempted to by the $16 high quality Surge Ultra Speed Rope, but figured that this one would serve my purposes just as well. I read in many reviews that the screws would come loose easily while jumping if not tightened well, and simply resolved to not be one of those silly people to let that happen. However, in my case, the screws didn't even make it past taking it out of the bag... The screws were in the fasteners, but only loosely so. As soon as I took it out of the packaging I heard something skitter across the floor and realized that one of the screws was missing. I searched for a good while but it was nowhere to be found. I remedied the situation by tightening a small zip-tie onto the loose end of the cable, and it works just fine. The cable is very fast and spins smoothly, is very lightweight, and the plastic handles though plastic seem solid and well made.Overall, the cable does what it should and works well, just be careful with the screws or by yourself some small zip ties.

This is the ultimate jumprope. I can't believe something of such high quality, performance and worthwhile (for my health) is so cheap. This thing whips around you so fast and you get such a workout while having fun at the same time. With the speed can come welts on your legs if you're not careful. This hasn't happened often, but when it does...ouch!!! Also, I've been jumping on a concrete floor for months now and the rope has held up. The plastic covering is still in tact and once that eventually wears off, the metal underneath is so strong, I doubt it will ever wear out. The best part is that it is adjustable, the only problem with this is that the end was almost impossible to cut off, which is why I feel this jumprope is virtually indestructible.
