Nice mold - will need an injector
We are getting into lure-making and wanted to give one of these injection molds a try. We have made lots of sinkers and jigs, so we are familiar with the process/needs. So, this review is from an intermediately-experienced mold user. In general, this mold is nice. It's smooth and feels durable. I've only worked with aluminum molds before, so using a stone-like material was a bit different. The aluminum defuses the heat pretty well, so I was curious how that would compare. In general, it took only slightly longer for the plastic to set up and cool off in the mold. Our first attempt wasn't great. Unlike working with lead in an aluminum mold, you cannot expect to pour the plastic into this mold and have it work. You WILL need to inject the plastic into the mold. It will take some practice to get a sense of how much needs to be injected.Once you figure it all out, this mold makes some pretty awesome lures. I love that I can make my own colors, and experience different levels of salt to make the lures sink. Overall, I definitely like this mold and could see myself buying other styles in the future.

Good 5" flukes.
I just started making my own baits. These stone molds work very well so long as you remember to oil it regularly. I neglected to do so before the first use and had a hard time getting the first 2 out. The only issue I have with this mold is I seem to get an air bubble right before the hook slot and I'm not sure why. It doesn't affect the baits much; I just don't like it. compared to the price of similarly priced aluminum mold you cant beat it. I think these stone molds make a great bait, at a fair price and highly recommend them for suppling yourself with usable soft plastics.
