For an 8 they slam
First of all I'm a 12" sub kinda guy. That's all I've ever owned until now. I was skeptical but I didn't wanna do a huge build in my truck because I need to keep my trunk open. I ordered one of the strato 8s and built a generic box just to test it out. After breaking it in, this thing slams without taking up a ton of space. I like it so much I ordered a another strato 8 and I'm going to build a sealed enclosure where the factory box was. These are great little subs for anyone looking for some serious bass in a small space!

Absolutely recommended BUT !!!
I bought these based on reviews, and when I received them I could tell right away why. The quality is second to none, they are fantastic looking and I have no reason to believe the interior quality isn't the same. I bought them for a special order box that fits the rear of my C6 Corvette but have decided to trade it in. So no I haven't heard them yet, but really hope I can use them in my new car ! I have to recommend them on the build quality alone. On a side note, the warranty paperwork you get with them basically states that they are warrantied, but in no way shape or form will you be able to make a claim. For starters - If you do not have your receipt, original box and packaging, your done, no warranty......Short version- If the speaker blows, it's your fault. Now I want to make sure I add the fact that this does in no way mean that they will actually try to deny you a claim, they may be very easy to deal with and give you no problems if the speaker fails, I have not had to deal with this. CT Sounds - maybe you need to revise your warranty paper work so that it doesn't make the consumer sound so unappreciated....

Recently I purchased a new truck and I wanted to ...
Recently I purchased a new truck and decided to upgrade the sound system because the bass was lacking to say the least. I also wanted the challenge of installing the amp and building a box. Holy hell did I got more than I bargained for with these subs. When I was in high school I had 2 12" JLs in a sealed box in the back of my 79 RX-7. These two 8"s paired with a 1500 watt amp wired to 1 ohms hit harder than my old system. The compact size of the subs allows me to completely hide the box. I had to laugh a little when my kids started yelling and covering their ears. Kids aren't as tough as they used to be I guess.... You can't go wrong with these subwoofers.

Good while it lasted
Had gotten this for my son’s truck after wanting to try something stronger than his old nemesis 8” sub. It definitely hit a lot harder but did not last very long until this ct sounds sub started to smell like burnt and started rattling. Had the same issues on my own truck when I decided to try this brand they didn’t last very long so went back to nemesis.

Great little subs, don't be silly and give them more than they can handle but that goes for all brands. I have these in a 4Runner off a Taramps Smart 3k Bass at 2.67 ohms. They are STIFF so a break in playing free air sweep 20 to 40 hz for a few hours at low to moderate power exercises them nicely.
