My outdoor tap is about 1.1inches wide, what do I do? Do i need to purchase a special type of connector, if so which kind?

The tap I use for the hose is an outside tap which has a thread on it. It came with a screw-on adaptor to fit ordinary garden hoses that you press on and off. This screws off to reveal a thread. The expandable hose adaptor screws onto this.

Does this fit 3/4 inch thread on tap

This hose spray gun fits standard hospice fittings, I have Hozelock hose and attachments and it fits perfectly without leaking. Think 3/4 inch is standard size for garden tape if not you can buy an adaptor to make smaller. Hope this helps answer your question.

Will this fit a Hommini garden hose

Can I remove the plastic hose connector at the bottom end of the spray gun, it won’t fit onto my hose otherwise

You can buy a Hozelok female end for your hose and it will just clip on. If you buy the red insert hozelok you don't even have to turn the water off.
