This is a fantastic value. I was able to eliminate two flimsy hubs and daisy chain several SSDs, an external hard drive, connect a remote portable monitor without a hiccup. The best part, from my perspective, is that I am able to plug my Lunda Display dongle directly into the hub instead of the back of the iMac 27 inch (2020) and it works seamlessly. With every other hub or dock I've tried the Luna dongle will absolutely not work unless it is plugged into the computer directly. This is a game changer and allows for easy port expansion. There is no excessive heat from the hub. It works straight out of the box and the ability to daisy chain different sections makes disk storage super easy. I love it.

The Hub works great, plug and play! Speed drop when having two Thunderbolt 4 NVME drives connected is around what's expected, getting ~1.4GB/s per drive still. The 60w power output to the computer is kinda meh, my 16" M1 Max Macbook Pro only keeps charge with it while I'm using it, sometimes even drains a couple percent. But when I take a break from using the computer, it actually charges, so it's good enough to not have to think about having a separate charger connected. Design also feels robust. I should have paid for the guaranteed faster shipping though because with the cheapest shipping it took around 2 months to arrive which is insane. Finally, for other Europeans: I can confirm the PSU that comes with this item supports 100-240v 50/60hz, so you can use it with a passive wall-socket adapter. You could also just buy a new power cord, it's the same cord as big PCs have IIRC (or the one that's similar, that monitors are using. Don't remember exactly and can't unplug it right now)

As with all things USB-C and Thunderbolt related the varying capabilities between your computer(s), dock, and devices will mean that almost nothing can be a silver bullet. That said, this little device is very close and sometimes on a decent sale. The Good - Usually the 2nd most expensive dock of this type with frequent sales below $100. - If you have Thunderbolt 3 or USB/Thunderbolt 4 this will mostly likely connect as many devices as your computer can support*. Unique to this type of hub/dock is the support for multiple extended displays for Mac computers. - Connected displays do not need to be Thunderbolt which means passive adapters (such as a Type-C to HDMI or DisplayPort dongles) are supported - even for multiple extended displays on Mac computers. - Metal body gives the dock a premium feel. - Provides clear details on compatibility and capabilities in this product page and on their website. Be Aware (if this is the right device for you these won't be a big deal) - This is only a USB Hub with Charging, you get no other dock features such as a network or audio connections. - 60W charging for the upstream computer is fairly standard for this type of device, but could be higher. - Downstream devices support 15W (the minimum for USB-C & Thunderbolt) as is common with such hubs. - There are no mounting options for the dock (as is common). - This uses an external 20V power adapter with a barrel plug. This adapter is bigger than the dock itself. - The dock cannot be powered by the upstream computer or any devices, it must have power from the 20V barrel plug. The Bad - This device does not provide a multi-stream connection for legacy USB-C devices (i.e. non-Thunderbolt USB 3). This means that when using DP-ALT mode only one monitor can be connected regardless of the resolution or your devices support*. Note that this is common for all devices of this type (since they are likely using the same chips internally), but since it is a common functionality in other USB-C docks I consider this a negative. - Of the docks of a similar size this is slightly thicker and has acrylic (plastic) top and bottom panels (instead of all our 4-sided metal in other docks). - The status lights are a large OWC logo on top of the device. There is a small button to control its brightness, but this seems gauche and could be harder to see than the status lights on the front of other devices depending on the location of the device.

Works great and delivers TB4 speeds on all the ports. My laptop has a single TB4 port so this gives me the ability to connect a monitor and TB4 external SSD.

Works fine, seems really solid. I use it to augment the ports on my new iMac (with only 2 Thunderbolt ports). Works well.

This it great! It replaced a quickly-failed unit from another major brand. Has been working great for >6 mos.

Importante sapere che è compatibile con tutti gli hard disk con sistema Thunderbolt 3, ma serve utilizzare sempre e solo cavi thunderbolt 4, in caso non riconosce gli HD. In lungimiranza con la tecnologia che avanzerà verso il 4, è ottimo investimento. Lo utilizzo come Hub per collegare un Apple MacBook Pro M1 13" con scheda audio Apogee Symphony Desktop e con un Hard Disk, per esempio, ed è perfetto, non sgancia mai....meglio spendere qualcosa in più, ma state tranquilli per l'intera giornata. Ha il suo alimentatore "ingombrante", ma appunto, se funzionale....meglio così.

The OWV Thunderbolt hub is an excellent product. It works out of the box and the throughput speed is as listed. The quality if faultless, the cables are high quality and long enough. I would buy OWC any time - EXCELLENT quality.

Excellent für MacBook, ich nutze ihn um 2 Monitore (4K) native in MacOs zu betreiben mit einem MacBook Air M4 und es funktioniert tadellos!
