Excellent video quality
The editor on the app is pretty good sometimes crashes when doing large files with a lot of cuts but overall a very nice bit of kit

Brilliant camera
Invisible selfie stick and horizon tracking is some sort of witchcraft, being able to edit video from 360 degrees of footage is groundbreaking

Picture quality poor and breaks easily
The lens got scratched the first time I tried using the official tripod (because the tripod is really top-heavy with the camera on top of it!)I tried to send it back for repairs but that'd require me to post it to Hong Kong (and, presumably, incur customs fees...)I think I'm just gonna cut my losses on this one, get a different camera, and see if I can have this one repaired locally at some point in the future.

Feels Like an Expensive Toy, Not a Serious Camera
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Insta360 X3 mainly for aerial flying footage, and while it performed decently in terms of capturing smooth 360° shots, I’ve been disappointed overall. The camera tends to overheat quickly, especially when recording in high resolution or HDR mode for extended periods. The HDR mode itself is practically useless – it oversaturates photos to the point where they look unnatural and cartoonish.Picture quality is okay in daylight but completely useless in low light. My old iPhone X actually takes better photos and videos in the dark, which is ridiculous for something at this price point. Another issue is that the stitching on the footage is sometimes wrong and isn’t seamless, which ruins the immersive 360° effect it’s supposed to offer. The AI editing feels like a gimmick more than a useful feature – it’s not very good and often produces results that look artificial. Another frustration is how heavily dependent this camera is on the mobile app to do almost anything useful. The desktop version doesn’t even have all the features the mobile app has, which makes editing workflow annoying if you prefer using a computer.Overall, for something marketed as a professional action camera, it feels more like an expensive toy than a serious tool I could depend on. Customer service was also unhelpful; I reached out with a question about connecting my AirPods, and although they said they’d get back to me, I never heard from them again. It’s fun for casual shots, but if you want reliability and true professional quality, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
