Ive purchased so many laundry detergents and I’ve finally found one that I’ve stuck with in Gain + Odor defense. My husband is a chef and let me tell you, getting the stench of geese out of clothing is a battle! One I that constantly thwarts me, but with Gain + Odor defense his clothes are less pungent and here’s why I’ve been really impressed with this Gain Odor Removal laundry detergent so far. The stain removal power is noticeably better than some of the regular detergents I’ve used before, especially on everyday stains and lingering odors from towels, workout clothes, and pet blankets. Clothes come out smelling fresh without being overpowering. One thing I really like is the softness it leaves behind. Even without using extra fabric softener, clothes still feel comfortable and clean after washing. The scent lasts for a while too, which is a bonus if you like that classic Gain smell. The bottle size is decent for the price and doesn’t feel skimpy. A little goes a long way, so the quantity should last a while depending on how often you do laundry. The detergent itself is concentrated enough that you don’t need to overuse it to get good results. As far as strength goes, it handles strong odors surprisingly well. I tested it on gym clothes and kitchen towels and it definitely helped remove that “stale” smell other detergents sometimes leave behind. The only downside is that it can get a little messy when pouring because the liquid is thick and sometimes drips around the cap if you aren’t careful. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning. Overall, this has become one of my favorite detergents for both odor control and everyday cleaning performance. I’d buy it again.

I am very glad I found this new Gain Odor blocker scent. I have been a long time Gain original scent detergent user but for me, with a newly acquired HE washer, this was the solution I needed. At first I feared I would miss my Original scent Gain. No worries. This is even better. Pros: This detergent does have a fairly strong scent upon opening container but it is not objectionable and is as attractive a blend as any scent spray. It smells really clean. I did talk with the manufacturer about amount to use (measure with the cup!) and found that the regular Gain detergent that is picked out and sold to me by the closest big box store for curb pickup is totally unsuited to HE washers. Yes, I do always specify HE detergent. My washer was leaving a bit of sticky, stale film on my laundry. Frustrating beyond belief. I now know that is from too much suds action. This HE Gain not only smells great but cleans beautifully. Laundry smells fresh and retains that scent for a long time. Even packed away, the laundry scent shows longevity. I enjoy opening my closet and noticing a fresh scent. It is not overpowering and causes no skin irritation nor itching for me or my husband. The jug is a bit heavy but it has a large capacity and is, I believe, made to be more sustainable in the plastic quality. Cons: Honestly, despite the handy jug spout and the push button valve above the container for a no mess pour when placed on its side, I always find it a bit difficult to pour the precise amount into the cup. I am possibly shorting my measurements just a bit to prevent an overflow or waste. I am sure that is just me. Summary: A quality detergent from a solid company in a delightful scent. Perfect for HE washers. It really cleans.

This review is on the Gain + Odor Defense laundry detergent. I bought the 154fl oz bottle in the “Super Fresh Blast” scent. This is my absolute favorite liquid laundry detergent. It leaves clothes looking bright, feeling soft, and smelling amazing. So good that I ended up buying wax melts in the same fragrance. It doesn’t leave any residue or buildup, so my laundry stays fresh instead of getting dingy over time. The value is great, and it has even worked well on cloth diapers, which says a lot if you’re familiar with how selective you have to be with detergents. My favorite part is that I don’t have to use different detergents for different loads, this soap works for everything I wash throughout the week. This size actually lasts about a month for my family of 6.

Love the warm spring day fresh clothes line smell. I'm allelic to just about everything, but this doesn't irritate my skin. Dissolves into laundry quickly, and gets dead skin and body oil stains out. Works well according to instructions, so a little goes a long way. The first bottle lasted 5 months. But, I'm single, no pets, work from home...so I have little laundry to do every week. Plus, I don't separate.

Smells wonderful and it lasts! My clothes are so soft and smells good even after wearing them all day at work. Great size and easy to use. Definitely gets out any stains I may have. I have not had any problems with the bottle leaking.

Works great for teen boys and pets! Leaves everything smelling good, soft and fresh! I got my moneys worth for the size of it. I do wash every Sunday and its about 4 to 5 loads. Unless accidents happen with the animals then I do them right away but it helps with odors.

This is a very effective product. It smells excellent it stays in the fabric and it definitely animates odor. It also cleans clothes very well. I typically use pods, but if you’ve use the cap and measure correctly, this will last as long or longer and is a better value.
