Slick Stick™ Anti Flyaway Hair WandMy wife got this for our daughter who has thick curly hair that has fly-aways when she puts it up. She said that this does help with controlling the finer hairs around her hairline. But for the thicker hairs, she needs hairspray, gel, or wax stick.

The brush gets stuck in my hair if my hair is straight or curly. I got it for my fly away hair. Aside from occasionally messing up my hair from getting stuck in my hair it works ok. I might buy again. This was the first time I bought this I would have wanted a comb.

I love this!!! I was looking for something for all my fly aways and SLICK STICK IS THE BEST!!! I am so glad I purchased this item. If you have fly aways this is what you need SLICK STICK.

Didn't work for my wife. More liquid and goopy than expected. Other options out there for less, with good reviews.

I cannot believe how simple this thing is and how well it works. At first I thought it was basically hair gel in a mascara tube but it isn’t quite. Whatever it is slicks back my unruly flyaways without looking too crispy. This is the best my ponytail has looked in a long time. For a few years I was wearing my hair in a TIGHT ponytail on runs 5 times a week. Apparently even an hour in a ponytail that tight can cause traction alopecia. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware there was such a thing. I now have a bunch of baby hairs growing back from in the areas at my hairline where my hair thinned. I’ve tried gel, wax, pomade; nothing seems to get those hairs to sit down for more than a few minutes without also looking hard or greasy. Just a few swipes with this stick and my hairline looks great. The bristles on the wand seem to grab the tiny hairs and not only coat them with this “gel” but also seem to incorporate them into the other hair so they don’t just sit on top and start flying away again. I’m just really impressed here. I did have a tougher time with getting the wand stuck in the back of my hair and pulling up pieces it shouldn’t, but it still looks better.I’m still not sure this is much different than finding a good gel and the right shaped wand (maybe save this one afterward and try it with another gel?). But whatever it is, I’m gladly using this every time I need to wear a ponytail.

My teenage daughter is a ballerina and I got this for her to use for her buns for dance practice and performances. She loves how convenient and compact it is, taking up very little space in her dance bag. Using the mascara wand to apply it is easy, quick, and effective. The only complaint she had is that it isn’t the strongest hold. She doesn’t use it as her main gel for fixing her hair, but rather just to do touchups and fix any flyaways after she has been dancing. My only complaint is the price. $20 is a lot for a tiny tube! But with the way she is using it, it should last awhile. Overall, we both like it.

This is a little bit of a pricy product for what it is, but I will say that it works. It’s great for flyaways, and sticking down baby hairs. I like using this for slicked back hair styles and for everyday wear. You don’t need to use a lot of it for it to work. The container is a cute pink color and the wand is large and easy to use. Fits easily into a makeup vanity or makeup bag. Perfect for travel or as a gift.
