Beautifully thought out, simply beautiful!
Our four year-old grandson loves this book. The accompanying poetry is simple, beautiful, song-like. Last year we gave him a large (similarly illustrated though not same company) 3'x2' jigsaw puzzle that he mastered readily and so enjoys. There are accompanying planetary object(s) stickers included in this book that he really enjoyed matching up to their appropriate locations. Really well thought out. And great pricing. I would highly recommend this for 3-5 year old's, and beyond :-)

Great introduction to our solar system!
My 3.5 year old LOVES this book! He's become very interested in all things outer space. From Buzz Lightyear to real-life astronauts, planets and even alien robots. So, taking advantage of this interest, I wanted to teach him about our solar system. This book is perfect for little minds with the poems on each page describing the planets in succession, and with the way the pages are designed so that each planet that came before can be seen. The stickers are an added bonus, though admittedly my son destroyed half of them sticking and re-sticking them everywhere. We've had it since Christmas and I've lost count of how many times we've read it. Definitely highly recommended.

Good book. Good price.
Even though this had some poor reviews, I took a chance on it. It was pretty much what I expected. Simple language, but eloquently written. I love how the pages are different sizes and teach about the distance of our galaxy in the design. Fun book. My 4 year old son enjoys. it.

Good astronomy book for young children
Our grand children, ages 2 and 3, like this book. They are still a bit young to listen to all the text, but they ask questions, enjoy flipping the flaps, and seem to be absorbing the concept of planets. We follow up by going outside and looking for planets in the night sky. The illustrations are engaging. It's never too soon to expose children to science, this is a good introduction to astronomy.

WELL DESIGNED AND WRITTEN!
This is an absolute must-have for children who want to learn about our solar system. The way in which the book is written and presented is well thought-out and easy for children to understand and remember. I love how the book starts with the sun, using a short poem and builds upon the poem by introducing each planet in succession on a new page. Even tiny Pluto, although no longer considered a planet, is included with the poem stating as such. It is certainly an interesting book that I wish I had been able to read as a child!

doesnt have a lot of stickers
I purchased this for my 3 year old's birthday. I wanted something that he could learn the planets with, when it arrived it was a hard cover and doesn't even have that many stickers. I dont see how he will learn the planets either because it is a very short book about 10 pages and has about 10 stickers and the pages are 1/2 pages not even full. He was interested when he got it and I repeat over and over the planets but I think it would've been better to have more stickers. the perk is they are reusable so we keep going over it

A beautiful book!
I just bought this as a gift for a 5 yr old boy and it is above and beyond my expectations. The pages are 'stepped' in a consequential sequence relating to distance from the Sun. So as you open each new page the planet is displayed further to the right, moving away from the Sun at the left of the book. This really helps illustrate the planets and their order - nearest, farthest etc. Also each planet has a beautifully and simply written poem, good for reading aloud. There are some stickers in the back but the book is great without them. The illustrations are lovely too. A very good choice for an inquisitive 4 - 9 year old.

Engaging book for little space explorers
My son loves this book, soothes him before bed, and beautiful images of the planets. The stickers are great, and many easy to remember facts with a cute rhyme.

Cool Book
My 5 year old grandson is a space freak - this is a really cool book. each page is larger than the next so it's like a flip book and it comes with reusable planet stickers so he can adjust his universe as he sees fit. Good value for the $

Favourite Children's Book of the Year
My two year old daughter learned all of the planets and interesting facts about them because this book was so engaging and well laid out. The book has incredible illustrations and a simple, easy to follow format. The text is catchy, but the pages are really what make this book memorable. Some pages are shorter and others longer so they can illustrate the sequencing of the planets. Little kids love that and this book is a big hit in our house. There are also reusable stickers that my kids plastered all over their dresser. They easily peeled off. I wasn't brave enough to stick them on the book because I read another reviewer had issues with that.
