Great scooter (for $399) ( 150 miles review )
Bought this scooter for $399 ( this is 150 mile review)The scooter is nicely built and cheap but the range is not more than 15 miles per charge.Good- well built; all the material feels great, no rattling, no problem at all- amazing customer service ( answered calls in less than 2 min/answer via Amazon in the same day )- weight- braking distance is good- looks nice and premium- charging time is 4:30 ( 0 to 100% ), which is quick.- Power; even though it is a 300w motor, but the 600w peak makes it pretty powerful; it can go 15 mph with ease, and it is surprisingly great when clearing grades- at this price point, almost it hard to find competitors ( scooters with the same specs are 100-150 more expensive )- speed; even though 15mph might sound low speed but it is good to go in traffic ( personally, I would consider wearing a helmet for a faster scooter. Also for a scooter without suspension, going more than this speed might not be smart as a pit hole might cause the rider to lose control )Fine- lights are fine but not great ; if the is no street lighting, you won't be able t o go at full speed ( max at 10 in order to be able to see in front of you )- neither acceleration/braking is liner; so for acceleration, it feels like pressing a button either on or off , for braking, once the regen brake kick in, it will stop suddenly- ride quality; this is expected as this scooter has no suspensionBad- locking; it's hard to lock the scooter as there is no looking place- I don't like that the regen braking and the normal one are integrated in one controller- I wish that they included a hanger so you can hang your bag or shopping bag.Ugly- Range; even though a lot of reviews claim that this scooter goes for 20+ miles per charge for a 200lb user, this is not true. The actual range is 15-16 miles in high settings and 17-18 in low. ( tested in flat areas and 25 c degrees, with minimal or no stopping, 90kg 180cm rider, also tested on 2 scooters )- application: the application offer no information at all apart from the battery percentage and total milage ( even you can't see mileage per trip, milage is only shown as an integer number)- brakes start to make noises in less than 10 miles, but its not affect their functionalityFinal thoughts: this is a good scooter. If I want to buy a scooter, I might consider something with suspension and a bit more range.

Great scooter, bad battery
First off let me say I love the scooter. Plenty of- speed and torque. Great range while the battery is good. That's when the problems start. 1st 6 months of ownership were great but after 6 months they battery would only charge to 73%. The following month it dropped to 65%. 9 months in and the battery only charges to 53%. Okai customer service has been less than stellar as well. I called Okai to report the issue and see how to get it repaired. After alot of back and forth emails and sending videos to demonstrate the problem I finally got a return authorization label to send the scooter back for repair, notice I said repair not replace. Of course I wasn't expecting to have to ship this scooter back after 9 months so of course I didn't have the original box anymore so it took me some time to find a box that it would fit in. Finally shipped the scooter back on December 5th. I got an email on December 13th from Okai saying that they had receieved my scooter and would be working on it in the coming days. 2 weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything so I emailed Okai to check the status and no response. A week later I emailed again and still no response so I called the customer service number and they couldn't give me a status update but would forward my inquiry on to the person handling my repair. A week later I finally get a reply email stating that my scooter should be repaired the week of January 19th and I would receive a tracking number once the scooter has shipped back to me. The 19th has come and gone and I still haven't received any update. I have once again emailed Okai requesting an update. If I don't receive a response in a timely manner I am considering contacting Amazon to see if I can get a refund. I also bought a 2nd scooter for my wife and hers is defective as well. That scooter the headlight stays and will not turn off thus killing the battery. Once the battery is completely dead it finally dies but as soon as I plug the charger in to charge the battery and it gets a little bit of juice the light turns on by itself, even without turning the scooter on. I reported this issue to Okai as well and they issued me a return authorization for the 2nd scooter as well. Since it was so hard finding a box for the 1st scooter I planned to use the same box once I received it back from repair but at this rate it looks like I'm going to have to find another box to send the 2nd scooter back otherwise summer will be here and I still wont have the 2nd scooter back. Having said all that, I can't recommend the Okai brand.

Good Quality electric scooter, easy to use, and safer than others
Bought this scooter for my daily work commute, since it is offering discount. the product is over my expectation. Good quality, and easy to use.The good point is this scooter designs much safer than others, you need to ride it with your feet and give it a speed to make it work( I was stand there, and push trigger at first, It didn't work, I thought I got a broken one). Which means even I push the trigger by a mistake, it won't goDisc brake system: I am 220lbs, when I am ride 20mk/h, the stop distance is about 3 feet only, very efficient.Three speed modes: max speed 5km/h, 15km/h, 25km/h. I use the 5kmh mode in the office, even my boss doesn't like me to do.

Charger breaks repeatedly, Modify the kickstand!
The scooter has won main design flaw.In that the kickstand is a half inch too long. The scooter stands perfectly upright and frequently tips over, snapping the charging plug. After buying 5 chargers at $40 a pop I simply took a hacksaw and cut the kickstand shorter shorter. And now it leans like it should.

Battery Life is not what I expected
The battery life is not that good. I usually get about 10 miles on a full charge. Even though it is advertised as 18 miles from a full charge, it is not. Quality control is not that great either, my unit has a failed rear wheel after about two weeks of use.Highlights:- Fun to ride from point A to point B- Easy to fold and transport anywhere- Works as expected in short trips- Compact Size
