If you have a Riding Mower, Snowblower or Roto Tiller that require (plastic) gas cans, and you've dealt with modern era safety features on plastic gas cans, then perhaps you know the frustration and confusion associated with simply pouring gasoline into your machine. The amount of physical effort just to POUR gasoline into your machine is...bordering on ludicrous these days. Some of these (typically 2-step) safety spouts are actually reasonable to use. Others, however, defeat the PRIMARY purpose of simply pouring gasoline into your machine. They create a proverbial "brick wall" by preventing one from simply refuelling their machines. This kit is a sorely-needed return to common sense. While it is important to "child proof" small engine devices, it's ALSO important to still reasonably refuel those small engine machines. This Spout Replacement Kit is a must(!) when you don't need to replace those (still perfectly good) plastic gas cans, but instead want to salvage them. This Kit specifically accommodates 1.75" threaded gas can discharge openings, both Fine and Coarse Threads. The Spout Caps are also threaded AND they even have rubber gaskets. You also have these blissfully wonderful VENT (press in feature) plugs. The Kit even comes with a basic drill bit for perfect vent hole sizing; perfect for drilling into plastic gas cans. And if you like, you can also drill a new vent hole into one of those annoying "self venting" gas cans. Suggest you do that as high as possible; in a flatter region near the top handle (opposite side of main spout). This Spout Replacement Kit solves all of your current gas can (basic pouring) frustrations. For me, it has been therapy...literally. It has been a return to common sense. I'm grateful for this product. I've been able to help two of my neighbors by utilizing these kits on their plastic gas cans. If you have a politically correct plastic gas can with a safety spout that actually WORKS, great. I have two myself and that's fine. It's the other safety spout "wannabes" that this Kit is designed to finally, mercifully remedy. The heavy duty plastic is thick and robust, too, on all the Kit parts. Now you can finally remedy that annoying spout safety feature that's been preventing you from actually pouring Gasoline into your machine. Imagine that!

These nozzles and vents are the answer to those "SPILL PROOF" EPA'd gas cans. TIP: I use a little Seals-All fuel resistant glue around the edge of the vents before I install them. Helps lube the vent for easier insertion and once cured, insures a good seal. It's a crying shame that we need these. Those Lawyer'ized gas cans are so lame. "SPILL PROOF" my ____ (LOL).

These spout and vent kits are worth every penny. Full flow from the moment the spout is in the filler neck. I am 75 and could not hold the 5 gallon diesel cans with the new safety spouts up very long. Now I can with these since I do not have to balance the diesel can trying to manipulate the safety trigger. I have already reordered for my gas cans.

I like the fact I can easily pour gas or diesel without leaks dislike nozzle only fit a few of my gas cans mine are all plastic with course threads so I used the original nozzle nuts on the others no major issue. Now easy to use and no leaks

These are simply a great spout replacement for most all new gas cans that have those pain-in-the- rear spouts that are ridiculous to use.I bought enough to do all 8 of my gas cans, ranging from 1 gallon to 5 gallons. Any of the cans that didn’t have an air relief valve, I put one of the ones supplied, using the provided drill bit, and it worked perfectly.For the function and the low cost, these are truly a no- brainer. Get’em, you’ll be happy you did.

I stock up on gas during hurricane season and was so tired of the safety spouts that are standard on most cans today. They are clumsy and make a mess half of the time. These are durable and work well as designed.

Years ago, these were the caps used until some genius decided there was a better way! There wasn’t many times over of trying this and that useless safety feature. I just wanted to be able to fill my lawnmower easily without spilling gas everywhere! We have to go full circle to realize what we had years ago was the best!!!
