Old Plastic Clips Breaking?
Replaced the old "Christmas Light" clips on our deck that always break after 1 or 2 seasons. These hold the rope lights much more firmly and improve the overall appearance. This 50 pack was just enough to do our whole job.

Didn't hold the rope light very well
I purchased these to hang rope light from the rafters in my grill gazebo. They may work well for a wall mount but for an overhead situation, they were too shallow (not tall enough) to keep the rope light from falling out.The screws are very small so you'll need a small, sharp bit to install them.I marked the locations and used a small drill bit to make a pilot hole to make screwing them in easier.I wish they had held the rope light as it took me a while to install all of the clips.

Worked perfectly
Perfect fit for neon lights that I ran under the lip of my shelving. Adjustable and inconspicuous

Can't recommend for 7/16" or larger rope light
The description states these clips will work for 9.5 - 12mm rope light. I have 7/16", just over 11mm, but the clips are not deep enough for that size, might be OK for 3/8" or smaller.Regarding the screws, make sure you have a fresh #2 Philips bit or screw driver, a #1 is too small, but the bit needs to be crisp. Also, there were 50 clips and 50 screws in the kit. Since the screws are small, they are easy to drop/lose and if you don't drive the screws square into the wood it'll be easy to cam-out and mess up the screw head, stainless steel is a soft metal. A few extra screws would have been welcome.

Fit perfectly on led neon rope lights
I have tried many different mounting brackets aluminum and plastic, these are by far the best I have used

You'll have to throw away the screws that come with the clips! The provided screws are useless!
I have 1/2" rope lights around our screen enclosure with approx. 100 clips supporting over 80' of lightsThe nylon clips I installed would always degrade and fail in FL heat.I purchased the 8mm - 11mm clips that are .53" deep (height) and also purchased separately (from Home Depot) #8-1/2" stainless steel pan head self-tapping sheet metal screws. The screws furnished with the clips are very poor quality screws that strip easily so they are useless & must be abandoned. You will have to drill out each clip hole to allow the #8 screws to fitAfter all that work the clips have sufficient depth (.53") to hold the 1/2" rope light well & i don't ever have to worry again about corrosion given the clips & screws are all stainless steel.

Missing 1 Clip in each box, shady busy practices MECCANIXTY!
Bought 2 boxes of these clips to put up rope lights. Package says 50 clips per box. Went through the first box but only 49 clips and left with 1 extra screw. Both boxes were sealed so, Thinking I maybe misplaced a clip from the first box, I opened the second and counted them first. Again only 49 clips and 50 screws. You got me though because the Sad thing is, I have no choice and need to buy another box which I’m sure I’ll count and there will be only 49 clips. Why say 50 pcs when there’s only 49 but 50 mounting screws.Pretty shady business practices MECCANIXTY!

Don't work for rope lights described
Clips at a depth of 13.5mm are just enough to work but when you use a screw, the screw head takes up room in the middle of the clip and they are now too small. Clips themselves are of good construction, screws are useless.

Flimsy and cheap
Very weak, screws easily strip. Good for areas that sag, but not strong enough for main anchors of the neon rope light. Based on lack of quality of material, I suspect they will rust in winter.
