Love it so far. No problems, but a couple of caveats
Bought this for a Gen 3 Glock 17, completely stock except for aftermarket fiber optic sights; and because at my age I'm having difficulty pinching the rear slide serrations (which ain't the best in my opinion) to pull the slide back. The fit was perfect, installation a breeze, and so is racking the slide now. I worried that the aftermarket rear sight, which extends behind the stock sight dovetail all the way to the back of the slide, would prevent installing this product. No issues at all.I recall reading (in an Amazon review) that this product interfered with reinstalling the slide after disassembly. I had no problem at all. Also recall something about the user's gun not functioning properly because of (essentially) the weight this product added to the slide. Only shot about 50 rounds with it on but I had zero issues. The product is basically feather-light; don't see how it could cause the problem described, and it makes absolutely no contact with any part of the gun but the slide.. Several folks reported the device falling off/pulling loose when they retracted the slide with it. I've yanked my slide many dozens of times. Mine stayed tight; again, not a single issue in that regard.I do have a couple of caveats for prospective buyers -- and the manufacturer. The product comes with only two screws and two nuts.... what you need, no more. Unless precautions are taken, with repeated firing of the gun, slide moving hard back and forward again many times, I'll bet one or both screws will work loose and a nut (and maybe a screw too) will fall out and be lost. The screws and especially the nuts are tiny. So, how about including at least 2 sets of screws and nuts? Doing so should add what, 2 cents, to the manufacturer's/seller's cost?? (But you DO get a free allen wrench... which, if you're like me, you can add to the collection of dozens of allen wrenches you already have in various places.)Being wary of loosening, and losing, a nut and possibly a screw too I put a dab of blue (removable) Loctite on the screws before I assembled the parts and let things set for 24 hours. I STRONGLY recommend you do too. Note that you don't want to use RED (permanent) thread lock because if you need to remove the cover on the back of the slide you'll need to take this rack-assist off. This advice to apply thread lock is NOT in the instructions that come with the product; personally I think it should be (unless I'm really doing something inadvisable by applying it).One other thing. The two pieces of this item are plastic and if you tighten the screws too much the plastic is likely to crack/break. I guess getting the screws tight enough to hold the product tight, but not so tight that the plastic breaks, is hit or miss without torque advice. (I guess that I lucked out so far.)Anyway, so far I love this product, and hope they make more that fit the slides of other centerfilre semiautos I have.

Works great. Easy to install in a couple minutes. Solid product.
This fit Glock 26 gen 5. Two small machine bolts hold it on. It makes the slide easier to rack even in the rain.

A real game changer for me
I have significant strength, dexterity, and sensation problems with my left hand which make many semi auto pistols very challenging to use. After installing this on my Glock 42, I was able to rack the slide with my left hand for the first time. Even with the problems in my hand, it wasn’t hard to install. Prior to installation I read some of the reviews and made sure not to tighten it down too tightly which could possibly cause breakage. It fit tightly and securely. I still need to take the gun to the range to make sure function isn’t affected. But it definitely makes the pistol much easier to rack. I was afraid it would create an uncomfortable pressure spot when carrying ITW, but it’s not an issue with my holster. I’ll definitely get another for my Glock 28.

Works great but with a caveat
Easy to install and makes it easier to rack the slide, and fits into holster same as before. However, when field stripping I noticed the slide would hang up or interfere during removal and installation. This is caused by the extra material on the lower section that wraps around under the slide. It lifts the slide up slightly, causing interference with the rear slide guides. I can see witness marks starting to develop on this area where the contact is occurring. Some mention filing this material off but it could cause it to slide up and off. I expect this material to wear down with use which may improve the issue. I can remove/install the slide but it takes increased effort. Going to keep it on for now and will update with any new info

Be wary of ordering the last item in stock.
These things are really great. If your older fingers have trouble racking the slide, these are a wonderful solutions. Construction is light weight but sturdy and the connection to the slide is solid. However be wary of Amazon and delivery of the last item for sale. The USPS could't deliver because the "business was closed". It'a residence!!. Amazon refused to contact USPS and offered me an insulting $5 gift credit for my troubles. Amazon was a total bust at helping get me the package. And they removed the item from my orders list. It just so happens this two item order was returned because they sent to frame rails and the slide assists the first time. Another amazon FUBAR.

Racking assist for weak hands
I needed an assist for racking my Glock and this looked to be the answer. It was very easy to install and so far it has helped me.

I didn't know what to expect exactly- but it's good.
This purchase was my third attempt at getting a suitable rack assist device. I have enough arthritis in my hands that it compromises my hand strength. I just don't have the grip that I used to.I gave my Vickers rack assist away and I took a chancce on the Recover version. I think it is the best of the three I've tried. It was really easy to install, taking about 2 minutes and is solid. I REALLY like the feel as it has wide serrations as you can see in the photos and the flair of the "wings" is just right (maybe- read later). Racking went from difficult to easy. One more thing... My grip is like Scott Jedlinski's where my right thumb points up and leverages against the tang. But above that are the deep serrations of the Recover rack assist and part my thumb was pressing against those serrations. It was no bid deal to sand off and smooth the very bottom of the device to make it more comfortable. There are only minor negatives: This device does not replace the back plate as the other two styles do. Should you ever have to remove this rack assist you will need to uninstall the rack assist first. Second, while if provides a superior grip, the "wings" are pretty wide and are not comfortable for me when carrying IWB. I now carry either off-body or OWB. It's a small trade-off. I like to carry Condition 3, so getting the slide to rack fullly, quickly and reliably is the utmost importance and this device helps beyond words in that regard.
