Viridian RFX11 1x16 Micro Green Dot, Shield Mounting Pattern, Polymer, Black

This green dot is a game changer! I am 72YO. Very near sighted. I have double astigmatisms, and the beginnings of cataract s. I have used red dots on rifles for years. I’ve grown accustomed to starbursts and wigglies in my optic. The difference is startling. This gives me a clear crisp green dot that yes I do see better. It’s cut my combat speed groupings at least in half. I completely recommend this product to you.

Very good optic. It is hard to find a 3 MOA Green Dot optic but Viridian has this one at a good price. It has a 30,000 hr battery life, shake awake and auto shutoff and brightness built in. I recommend it for pistols. I now have 2 of them and they work as advertised.

Pros: Clear glass, no distortions in the glass itself. Bright dot in daytime. Properly dimmed dot at nighttime. Shake awake has never failed. Auto off feature works and saves battery life. Rubber cover is helpful when in storage. Cons: Glass dimensions are just too small, i.e. too tiny to be useful at arms length, i.e. takes too long to find the dot in such a small sight (only 22mm wide, 16mm tall) when it is 2.5 feet from your eye. Glass scratches a little too easy to suit me, guess I was expecting something a little more resilient like a cell-phone-screen-level of scratch resistance? Misc: Open sights are much quicker to use or a red dot with a much larger lens window. I personally need something larger in both X (22mm) and Y (16mm) directions.

This does not fit the KelTec P15 metal. Viridian customer service very rude and not very well informed of their own product. Had to send back

Amazing for the size and price. Being auto brightness only does take getting used to but well worth the trade off for being smaller.

I rather hate giving this 3 stars, for my uses it deserves 1, but it may be my problem, and not the sight's. The unit seems well made, and it seems to work, but the green dot flairs so much that it is unusable to me. It may be caused by my astigmatism. I have a number of red dots (Burris, Shield, Vortex) and I haven't had this problem with flair, or starburst effect. But, this is my second green dot (the other is a Holosun) and I've had the same issue with both. In fact, I sent the Holosun back to the factory and they sent me a new one, but still, the green dots flair terribly in low or indoor range lighting. Outdoors they seem fine, but in indoor artificial light the flair is so bad that the sights are nearly impossible to accurately aim the gun. But, like I said, since I'm having the same problem with 2 green dots, the problem may be mine instead of the sights'. So, for someone without astigmatism the rating may be a 4 or 5, but for me I'm being generous at a 3.

Although it is all plastic framed it is an excellent optic for the price and the green dot is amazing. Easy to zero in especially with a bore sight to save ammo. I love mine.
