3 sticks and no directions
I have three sticks and I guess from the picture (no text) I am to put a piece of one in a cup of hot water to soften and activate so I can shape it around this damaged computer conection. How hot the water? How long in the water? How long it stays supple?

Works well...but there's a learning curve.
I love Sugru Moldable Glue. However, it's quite expensive and one has to use the entire packet.I took a gamble on this product due to the price and ability to use as much or as little as needed. The product works as promised ... it becomes moldable in boiling water and one can mold it to one's needs. I especially like the fact you can use the exact amount needed, rather than wasting some of the product or having it dry out.I needed to fix two sections of a cord that were damaged by my naughty parrot. My first repair ("Attempt #1) protected the cable but came out sloppy - see photo. The second repair came out great - neat, clean and smooth. The key to using this product is TIMING. The product begins to harden quickly so it's vital to work fast. The only reason why I didn't give this product 5 stars is the fact the plastic ends up HARD. For my purposes this hard plastic fix is fine. However, if you need something more "rubbery," look elsewhere. This product is a good value for the money and I'm happy that I discovered it.

Excellent, but don't use hot water
I tried following the instructions and softening it with hot water, and I was going to leave a terrible review. But before doing that I elected to experiment a little. To my surprise, I found that using a heat gun, a microwave, and even a butane torch worked extremely well. With an open flame you'll need to keep it moving quickly and practice a bit so you don't burn it, but is very doable. However, for best results I found that cutting it to fit, laying it in place, and then using a heat gun to allow it to melt and to flow in place works beautifully. It takes a fair amount of heat to make it soft and malleable, yet it remains soft until it gets completely cold. I found that heating it with a heat gun, then shaping it however you need, and finally spraying it with a spray bottle of cold water works amazingly well. They really should change the directions to reflect this method as it works so much better. The final product it a very hard yet not at all brittle piece with amazing strength. Excellent product!
