6X Light Switch Open On Close Off for Cabinet, Drawer (White)

There is no door jamb cutting to insert the switch in the jamb (door frame). The switch is compact and simple and mounts directly on the door jamb. Only the power line (line feed) runs to the switch from the light to be controlled and back to it. The only thing that needs to be figured out is covering the two wires on there way to protect them. At the switch, one wire with a half inch of bare wire is inserted into the side of the switch and a screw tightens down on the bare wire. Same for the other wire. When the door opens and the switch button is released the switch is closed making contact with the two wires, sending power to the light. Very cleaver.

I have a utility closet that I desperately needed to install a light in, the problem was it was a wide closet with two doors and I didn't want to install separate lights. My goal was to install one long (4') light and have it work off either door. These worked perfectly, were easy to wire, inexpensive and were delivered quickly using Prime. They are wired in parallel and power a 20wt LED strip light.

I used these to control some LED lights in a closet. They have worked perfectly well for several months but they are very light weight and don't inspire confidence. However, until they fail, it is hard to complain.

Love this. Installed it in our coat closet. Makes me smile every time I open the door. SO GLAD I DIDN'T GO THE MOTION SENSOR/BATTERY LIGHT ROUTE. That would be so painful changing batteries all the time. This took extra time to install and a little bit of love, but is a much better solution to live with.

I wanted a non-intrusive switch that would turn on the lights in our pantry when the door opened. I hooked the switch up to a 12V power supply which powers several strings of LED lights. The switch performs flawlessly, is easy to install and is not noticeable at the top of the door frame. The project was completed a month ago and the switch continues to work well. I'm pleased!!!!

Needed a contact switch for a cabinet that lit up when I opened the door and shut off when closed. This simple switch was very easy to install and did the trick. Would have paid more for one, but the price included 2 switches.

These are very simple to install, if you know basic wiring skills. Some instructions would have been nice especially for a novice

I was originally going to ding it 1 star because the holes are small... I could barely get an 18-gage lamp cord conductor into each hole. However, after thinking about it - a snug fit will probably help keep strain off the actual interior connection.

These worked well, I tied them into a socket for my coffee maker in the cupboard so it would shut off when the door was closed
