I recently purchased an iPhone 16 Pro. I had been using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, but I am planning on some traveling and wanted to upgrade my phone camera. I could have traded in my 12, but I wouldn't have received much for it though still functioning great. My plan was to get another phone mount for my car and use the 12 as a GPS and, since it no longer was on a phone plan, I would use the hotspot on my 16 and the 12 could pull data and use that to use with Apple Maps or any other software. I didn't want to get anything too expensive. While searching on Amazon, I found the PGU Magsafe Car Mount for just under $7 and looked easy enough to install, so I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today. As can be seen in the photos I have uploaded, the package contains everything you need to install the mount on an air vent. The box contains the mount, air vent clip, an accessory package to use with phones that do not have built-in magsafe hardware, including instructions on how to put the mount together and use the accessories to make the mount compatible with your phone. Having the 12, I did not need to make use of the extras. After assembling the mount, which took just a few seconds to do, I took it to my car, along with my iPhone 12, and picked my driver side vent. The mount twists to extend the clip to reach back to latch onto one of the vent flaps. Once snagged, just twist the ring in the opposite direction until it tightens up. Easy enough! I brought the 12 up to the mount and it immediately stuck to it. I then took my car on a short drive and the phone stayed put. The only potential downside to any of these types of mounts is that the vent you use will be partially blocked. I am very happy with this mount. Two thumbs up!Pros:- Very inexpensive.- Easy to put together.- Easy connection to car vent.- Holds phone, even one as big as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, nice and tight.- Includes accessories for other phones or non-Magsafe cases.Cons:- These kind of mounts do restrict or partially block the airflow of the vent they are attached to, but most cars have multiple vents in the front so that shouldn't affect most drivers.

Very strong magnet, holds up my phone even with bumps and sharp turns

Good for the money. I have had a few others like it and they came off the windshield in the heat of the summer. This one lasted without a problem. Only issue is it's really hard to get the goo off the windshield when you do finally remove it. I had to sell my car and it took some goo removal products to get it off and a razor blade. Other than that it's great. I also had to buy a metal plate that has adhesive on one side to put on my phone case because my case was too thick for the magnet to work. Overall loved it once I figured out the right situation for my phone

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Goes on the air vent, holds the phone, doesn't wobble, doesn't break, rotates as needed... does EXACTLY what you expect.

The product does the limited functions it was intended to perform. I did no like the one time removable from the suction device that is very sticky. My guess is that the sticky surface is required to get a secure mount with the suction mechanism. What I am not sure about: Can it be moved over and over.

2nd styling have bought and this is a home run. The “hook” that clips on the vent is a game changer. My 1st one would slide or fall off. Strong magnet. Highly recommend. Stability:Excellent. The hook is a superior design. Mount quality:Great. Stickiness:Strong magnet.

Works great! Holds my iPhone 16 Pro in its mag case just fine. No wobble, no slip.

Bought a year ago and still very sturdy. People always compliment it and have bought more to gift. Definitely recommend
