My ac unit chews through these
They work fine and plug and play easy. My ac loves to eat these up because of its age. But the product is perfect fix until I can afford a new system

Great replacement
Got my AC compressor and fan back going. I tested before installing and it was 35.05/5.08 ....excellent

Awesome
It seems I need to replace a capacitor on one of my two AC units at least every third or fourth year. At this great price, I keep extras on hand. I'm always covered. Easy to replace yourself.

Do-it-yourself maintenance/repair.
After pricing an HVAC technician's service call fee plus inflated part cost, I decided to see if I could fix the problem (A/C blowing room-temp air; remote unit fan not turning, though the condenser was working). My a/c is 5 years old. It turns out that the first thing to go out in most air conditioning units (this applies mostly to the condenser unit) is the capacitor. (Second thing is the contactor, which I also bought on Amazon.)I bought an entry-level multi-meter (Klein Tools mm200 -- $37.22 on Amazon); learned how to use it for simple HVAC issues; bought the part from Amazon; and replaced the capacitor myself. Cost (not including the multi-meter): $11.33. Result: My a/c is running like new. When the contactor comes in, I'll replace it, too (and keep the original as a back-up part). There are a lot of dishonest HVAC techs; and there are a lot of honest ones. Even if you don't intend to replace parts like this yourself, it pays to understand how your units work and what the easy-to-replace parts are (and how much they cost). It's like dealing with a car salesman: know the answers before you ask the questions.Anyway, for a basic-level do-in-yourselfer, this is an easy and inexpensive job that will save you a lot of money.

I learned that these units can save you hundreds of $$$ in HVAC problems
Didn't give it 5 stars because I didn't use it yet, because I purchased this as a backup. After recently having my HVAC unit go out and using a HVAC professional.Since then I did a lot of research on youtube on how to fix these units and was successful in doing so, and learning a lot of what usually goes out and how to repair them. What I learned was that the capacitors usually goes out and they are very inexpensive to repair a unit; I learn this the hard way. Like I said before the guy came to my house changed the Capacitor, and I believe it was working( the old ones last much longer than the new ones) then he charged my unit and charged me $275. 2 weeks later my unit went out again and I discovered through my education of Youtube that it was the condenser fan motor, lucky I didn't call him back as he requested. But most of these guys are good but their are bad ones out there too, so keep these around. So if the guy comes by and changes your capacitor ask him for the old one; I wish I did!

Great for a DIY fix if this is why your A/C isn't working.
Saves a $100 visit from the A/C repairman . . . if this is your problem. This summer, after a storm, we had a quick on/off power surge and the A/C stopped working. The same thing happened last yare and we paid an A/C business to come out and basically do the same thing. They charged us around $75 for the service call and at least $75 for the part (typical of this kind of business to charge 4x list price most places -- just the way the industry rolls right now.) This time, I pulled the cap and tested the capacitance on both contacts and discovered one was showing 0 microfarads. Found this replacement for less than $15 and we were up and running. This is one instance of a part that is easily a DIY project for anyone who takes the time to watch a few Youtube instructional videos on A/C troubleshooting. Anything bigger (like replacing the coolant or motor or compressor) will probably be best left to the professionals with the better (expensive) tools and experience.

Amazon Warehouse product. but it had a big dent
So this will probably be fine but there is a good imperfection in the Can. At $2.25 its worth a try. I will put it on my Capacitor tester and check for leakage or short. Ill update but is not a reflection of the virgin undamaged unit. again only the one i have here.

Bargain and great specs
Got these as spares. Look very good. Have a 85 degree C temperature rating; that's 185 F. That's what I need in Texas, since the outdoor unit get very hot in the sun.Ordered these on 8/2 and received them on 8/5. More than adequate for use as spares. These will be my likely choice for backup caps in the future. I have 2 condenser units and 2 spare caps, so I am good for awhile... Knock on wood.***Update on 7/8/2016, installed the first unit. I will watch how it lasts. FYI this replaced the contractor installed capacitor that caused me to order these. So that one lasted almost 3 years, even though it was pretty rusted on the top surface and didn't have the temperature rating these have. Hope they live up to my expectations.***Update on 6/1/2018, replaced the second unit. These seem to work well. Unfortunately, as my outdoor units age, I think the frequency of replacement will increase. The technician that replaced, while I was out of town noted that the part was dated 2013. I think these are a great value for the price and performance.

worked great, saved me a $200 trip from the technician
My AC failed in summer in a holiday weekend, and with some troubleshooting i found that the starter capacitor was probable the issue. I got it next day with prime and had my AC running in no time for a fraction of the cost of getting a tech out on a holiday weekend who would have tacked on a lot of other expenses too. this is the most common thing that goes in a AC unit. They are located in the compressor thats outside, and you will notice that the compressor will be running and overheating but the fan wont be running. check the resistance across your old capacitor and if it doesnt math the spec swapping this out can fix your issue. good luck.

Woohoo! Summer indoors saved by a capacitor!
I can't believe I fixed our A/C!I sweated through last summer and dreaded this upcoming summer.I changed the wiring for the nest to cool. It still didn't work.I changed the capacitor today, and I thought it still didn't work. I adjusted the thermostat and I thought I heard the A/C running. I literally had to have my son go outside to check. This easy fix saved my family from sweating and a service call. I watched a few YouTube videos before I felt brave enough to cut power and try changing this capacitor.

Worked perfectly
My AC unit was on the fritz, and I finally decided to try to fix it on my own before I called a guy out (for $120 just to diagnose). a 5-minute video on YouTube, opening up the AC, seeing a Capacitor that was warped, $16, and a two-day wait, and voila! I'm an AC expert :)This worked perfectly, and was an exact replacement for my Carrier AC unit. I would highly recommend it.

nice duel run capacitor
Doing a test in making a Capacitive Battery Charger, the capacitor looks HD and for my purposes it should work, if it makes this old battery OK again it would be a bonus but I am not holding my breath it looks interestering for sure. I used the 35uf side and everything is cool battery voltage is around 14.47VDC right now.

Stopped working after few days
Bought about less than month ago and installed in air conditioner and today I noticed AC stopped running and went outside and slight tapped on the AC which started the fan and has been running but every time it shuts down I have to jolt fan which is typical sign on bad capacitor.Really disappointed since I do rely on positive reviews before buying stuff from amazon and this one did have very good ratings.
