Perfect Design: A Pure Delight
This little device is the most fun I’ve had with music in years. The built-in speaker is a nice touch and works great at low and medium volumes. The record-to-MP3 feature is easy-to-use for backups and records at 160k, 44100 Hz, which is higher quality than similar players on the market. The form factor makes me want to carry it around everywhere. I’ve been listening all day through the speaker, recording stacks of cassettes, and the battery has held up great. I highly recommend this product for those who want try out or relive analog times.By the way, you can just delete the sample MP3s on the included microSD card if you don’t want them to play when you turn off the cassette. I don’t mind this feature and put a different track in the root directory and now it plays instead.Update: I emailed a question to the customer service address on a card in the box. They were fast, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Special thanks to Niki and the whole Jazmm team.

It Works! (For now)…
The media could not be loaded. ***Please excuse all the “uhm’s” but I don’t normally write reviews… unless I’m just disgusted. And that’s what I am… disgusted. Not with the cassette player but with Amazon.1st and foremost, the cassette player works as advertised. Things I may or may not have mentioned in the video…The good: ability to record cassettes directly to a memory card without a PC; ability to record directly to SD card via built in mic; comes with 16gb micro SD card and usb adapter; rechargeable with usb C charging cable; it’s kinda cute…The bad (and reason for only 4 stars): no record to cassette function; sub par (tin can) sound quality; automatically switches to SD (if inserted) when tape play stops; misleading advertisement pictures cassette player with headphones (none included)Overall the player functions for my needs (so far) as I’m only looking to convert and not concerned with aesthetics or sound quality. I have real sound equipment for that. If you have tons of cassettes that you want to convert this will definitely come in handy. Build is plastic but feels pretty sturdy. How long it lasts will be the real question. If you’re not an audiophile like me and not too concerned with sound quality then this is a good inexpensive means of listening to and reminiscing back to a time when music was actually music. And just a lil tip, if you’re using to convert cassettes or even just to listen, unless your cassettes are in pristine condition and were kept in air tight glass cases for 3 decades, you will probably want to also purchase a tape head cleaner. All the dirt/dust collected and built up on and inside the cassettes will gunk up your player and it will not function properly if at all. I clean mine after every 3/4 tapes played because mine are definitely not in pristine condition. As for Amazon… this is the 5th cassette player I’ve purchased in the last week (all different brands). With close to 200 cassettes, I’d be recording for the next 6 months with one player. I kept 2, returned 2 due to limited or non functionality and being previously used… and today Amazon sends me yet another used item. I’m about to lose my S***! I REALLY don’t want to have to return another. WHERE IS THE QUALITY CONTROL??!! I said I wasn’t concerned with aesthetics but I most certainly have a problem with paying full price for used merchandise! I’m giving this a week to make sure it functions as it should and the previous customer didn’t damage anything… like water damage maybe???Fingers crossed!

GREAT Cassette Walkman the converts cassettes to mp3s!
What a cool product, that does what it says, at a great price! I needed a way to convert some old cassette tapes to digital and came across the Jazmm on Amazon. Can't beat it at the price. Sounds as good as any Walkman of old, and the function to record songs on cassette to the included mini-SD card is very easy. Got it on first shot and the mp3s sound really good. I also have to say that I was impressed with Jazmm's customer service. I had a small problem with the included mini-SD card reader (not the Jazmm or the card itself) and emailed their customer service. They responded same day and resolved the issue right away. I rarely write reviews on Amazon, but was so impressed with this thing, and their customer service, I have to give them kudos. Excited to now convert my old cassettes to digital files!

Several design flaws make this a frustrating product
I returned this product because it would drain the battery overnight when turned off. Also, the battery would drain about 30% while playing a single 30 minute cassette tape. It's possible this is just a defective unit, but there are two other design flaws in the unit that would have caused me to return it anyway.First of all, the unit cannot properly use headphones that have a mic. For example, standard iPhone headphones. They will work only if you unplug them slightly, but this causes a short. I assume that older style headphones would not have this problem, but I don't own any headphones like that.Second, the designers of the unit do not understand the meaning of "stop". If you are playing a tape and you hit the tape stop button, the unit immediately starts playing the SD card if it is inserted. There is a separate button for playing the SD card, so why in the world would a STOP button cause PLAY to happen? This is so annoying and frustrating to have to hit two stop buttons when you are finished playing a tape.So I don't recommend this product.
