Death Dance
The media could not be loaded. Osprey Pro 700It’s been about a week of trying to get the pool in shape for summer. The second time it ran, it went into an oscillation mode though, which could be due to a firmware glitch or possibly a hardware problem. When it works it does pretty well, picking up a lot from the pool floor and climbing the walls well, but about half the time it seems to go into this dance mode where catching it in the pool is difficult (restarting solves the problem). If I don’t have time to check on it I can usually determine it may have gone into this mode by how well it cleaned, or where it stopped. Half the time it doesn’t clean well it seems to end up in the middle of the pool, with one of those times it stopped on it’s back. There are no firmware updates available, so testing the modes it seems to do this most often with the full pool, wall then pool and wall only modes. All corners and steps are rounded, so if might have a problem with that configuration. Considering returning since this might be an accelerometer or gyro problem. At this point, it is definitely not fire and forget.Edit:Review changed from 2 to 5 star because WYBOT Product Support got involved. After getting some details and seeing the video they sent a new unit, which works as advertised. Picks up about everything on the bottom and climbs the walls to clean the water line. Run time is around 2 hours, which allows it to do a fair job for the entire pool (floor and walls) but does a more thorough job when selecting them for separate runs in the app on our 35’ x 20’ in-ground. The new one doesn’t dance or do an upside-down turtle impression, so problem was more than likely a bad 3-axis accelerometer/gyro.

worked fine, for a while
This pool cleaner worked great for the first couple months we had it, now it dies after 10 minutes of being in the pool, even though it has a full charge.

Declining Battery
Purchased exactly a year ago. The first year, performance was excellent- well worth it! Year 2 just started and the vacuum doesnt run as long as it used to. It still vacuums well, but only runs for about an hour from a full charge. This is a major decline from last year, and also not long enough to clean a good portion of even just the floor. My pool is not very dirty and I now have to charge and run it every day since it doesn’t run long enough to clean the pool in full after one run (like it did its first year). Not worth the price if it will only run for an hour after one season.

UPDATE-Robot does whacky dance
The media could not be loaded. Update; the issue I was having was Bluetooth connection. If you lose WiFi or turn off Bluetooth, the robot doesn’t know what to do. Customer Support has been very helpful and the robot works very very well. This robot starts out great! I’ve always been informed that I cannot use a cordless vacuum because of my pool location and the power required. This vacuum does a good job, but about halfway through the cycle, it starts to go a little wonky. I run it when no one is swimming and the pump is off. So I don’t know what causes this, but I will have to return it. I need it to run correctly the entire cycle.

Not as smart as advertised
Nice robotic pool cleaner, but it's not as smart as advertised.I have a small rectangular 15x22 pool, and this robot only cleans about 50% of the walls. It also gets stuck on the pool light and pool drains from time to time.Because this robot is so low to the ground, it gets stuck on rounded stairs and can't climb up. So if you have round stairs, this robot won't clean them.Occasionally, this robot flips upside down and can't get back up, so you need to supervise it.The app is completely useless and costs an extra $100 from the base model robot.Unfortunately, tech support is one of the worst. They never answer phone calls and take 3 or more days to respond to emails. The company proudly advertises a two-year warranty, but the fine print says that it doesn't cover all components.Bottom line: This robot is a great concept, but it needs a lot of improvement. The manufacturer also needs to improve its support. If you're considering buying this robot, be aware that it may not work well for your pool. It's also important to note that tech support is slow and the warranty doesn't cover all components. However, Amazon does offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it out for yourself and see if it works for you.I'm returning this robot and will try a different model.Update: Returned and purchased Osprey WYBOT 700 base model without App, this model works much better, but still can’t climb the rounded stairs and miss some spots, however, it’s a big help cleaning my pool.

Great vacuum
Update: after about 10 months of nearly daily use, this bot has held up very well. Runs efficiently, charges quickly. No issues so far.So far, so very good. I purchased this to cover the Maytronics Dolphin needing repair after a year of using it (not surprisingly) bc I wasn’t going to be without a vac for four or more weeks. This little wifi controlled bot is very impressive. It picks up even the finest debris, climbs the stairs and the walls, incl scrubbing the waterline, and then parks itself when done next to a wall. Charges in a couple of hours to be ready for the next time. Two things that didn’t impress so much: the app you need to run this is not the greatest. And the charging port may not be entirely water proof even if the cap is on as tightly as it can be. We will see if that keeps working.Comes with a 2 year warranty and from what I’ve seen, the manufacturer is easy to work with. Give this a try. Will update this review if new info comes to light.

Ahhhh
It’s a fickle piece of equipment. One morning it’s an amazing piece of technology, is online and runs with no issue and the next it’s a piece of technology with great potential but you struggle getting it online, take it in and out of water multiple times, and then after 30 minutes you give up and grab the cleaning net and brush as the pool won’t clean itself

Not sure about this product
I have used this vacuum a few times and one thing I don’t like is that the app is really bad. I have tried sending the message to the robot to clean only the floor of the pool but it continues to climb the walls and clean that as well. It gets stuck with the same path when it’s close to the skimmer. It gets stuck close to the main drain which is at the bottom of the pool.It is not a leave it and forget it type of vacuum you have to watch it and make sure it’s doing it’s cleaning.I’m not sure it is worth it for $1200.The biggest disappointment is the app that doesn’t even work properly

It flips over !
The machine worked last summer. But now we have just opened our pool Nd put it in the water, the machine inside of the pool on regular surface it flips over! Therefore it is only good for just couple of months within the first summer. Unless Amazon or the manufacturer can show us a silolution, this machine has to go to garbage.
