Saved my dogs teeth and gums! My husband sprays our dogs gums/teeth every night and it helps him so much! He has really bad teeth but is a senior dog and he cannot be put under to get them cleaned. I really like this product enormously. I have my own pack of Chihuahuas mini-Chug Chugs, toy dogs tend to be prone to plaque gum, disease, and tooth problems. It is far more than a cosmetic issue. When bacteria accumulates in the mouth, it can enter the bloodstream and damage the heart valves in the liver. It is a frequent cause of premature death in Chihuahuas. A dog that might have lived 20 years may live only 10 as a result of having a dirty mouth. Most dogs object strenuously to having their teeth brushed, on a daily basis, this Silvadene spray kills germs and reduces plaque. I have tried it on myself, and it is nearly tasteless. It is not offensive like many things that we try to put in our dogs mouths. I'd like to use it on a regular basis for general cleaning and killing bacteria, and also before brushing, which may produce some bleeding in the gums, so the Silvadene can help protect bacteria from entering the blood system through bleeding gums.It is extremely easy to use. I keep it at the bedside, and as I allow the dogs to get up on the bed, I can just snag them and spritz their mouth and it's not a big deal.The only problem for me is the cost if I had only one or two dogs that would be different.However, I'm gonna be spending up to $50 a month just for the spray so I have cut back I also use peroxide, which is much much cheaper, and just spritz a mist of it from a little spray bottle onto the surfaces of her upper and lower teeth. This is a good procedure all on its own, and also in preparation for tooth brushing.Recently I have been learning the wonders of castor oil, which needs to be organic, Cold, pressed and hexane free. Putting up 2 cc of the castor oil over their teeth and on their tongues is also having an observable beneficial effects on their teeth and mouths, and also is less expensive.So I sort of mix it up, in order to deliver good mouth care to my dogs, and make it affordable. Whatever I spend on prevention of gum and mouth problems on my dogs is a good financial investment, as veterinary dental care can easily run into the hundreds or thousands of dollars.They also get chew bones, which are made of knee bones of large mammals, which help to remove plaque and keep their mouth healthy; they really enjoy these. When they get dirty from having been on the floor, I may boil them for a bit, and the dogs like them even better, because they are a bit softer and easier to get their a little teeth into.Amazon also sells little teeny, tiny toothbrushes, which are really sold for a human being for inter dental care. They are very high-quality last a long time, can be disinfected, and are perfect for these little tiny teeth and the spaces between them. Do Kindly remember that fluoride is toxic for dogs. Please do not use human toothpaste with them..

My dog’s breath has been “noticeably stinky,” to put it mildly. Like BAD. We feed him fresh, wet food all the time, and he hates getting his teeth brushed. We almost never do it.And he is picky: won’t eat “green” chews and hates almost every non-meat thing we’ve ever given him.Enter PetSilver!! He seems neutral on the taste, and it near-IMMEDIATELY and DRAMATICALLY cures his breath. Not improve, but CURE. For a few days. I use 4-5 sprays on a 13lb dog, trying to douse his whole mouth.My only concern: is it “safe” to ingest chelated silver? There are studies saying colloidal nano silver is not safe, but I couldn’t find any studies on chelated silver. I sure hope so—because without this stuff his cuteness factor goes from a 10 to a 2.Other things we’ve tried:Water Additives: These decrease his water intake (and no breath improvement.)Probiora Probiotic Powder immediately fixed the black stuff that came on his teeth from the rescue/shelter (impressive!) but appears to have zero effect on his breath. His teeth remain semi-white-ish with yellow bases with our inconsistent use.Sprays, in general, have had no effect. Vetradent: Rec’d by the vet, but he hates it, and I haven’t noticed improvement.Vetality Twist+Lick Oral Gel: He loves to lick it, but I’ve noticed no effect.

Love, love, love this stuff. It friggin' works.I have two pooches that have periodontal disease. So plaque and tartar build up quick. I brush their teeth three times a day. Despite my efforts, I feel like I get 3 steps a head and 25 steps behind as the tartar and plaque build up. Not to mention, their gums are always red and inflamed. Don't even get me started on their breath!! Ugh!I bought this Pet Silver Teeth and Gum Spray to accompany brushing their teeth. I am absolutely amazed as within 24 hours both my dog's gums we not so red and inflamed. Plus the tartar and plaque started to break up. I have continued to use this product everyday and it's been over a week now. Both my pooches teeth and gums look healthier then they have in a very long time. No more stinky breath either. A bit hard to spray some cats' mouths.others accept. Too early to tell .but think it will help oral and dental issues. Hoping to fight plaque and bacteria. At bottom fourth of bottle, it is difficult to get it to spray, so star deducted.
