Math Facts for Minecrafters: Multiplication and Division (Math for Minecrafters)

Great book for practicing multiplication and division facts. Each page has 20 math fact problems. Also includes a progress tracker page at the beginning of the book, as well as an answer key in the back. Would be good for speed/timed skills tests, but we did not use it that way. The problems were on the easier side for the first 3/4 of the book, so keep that in mind if you have a math lover who already knows most of their multiplication facts.

My first shock was realizing that there was absolutely no presentation of Minecraft content, no word problems or examples, no situations using the theme for which the book is titled and advertised. What a disappointment to my 8 y/o grandson. This is simply a book of drills, page after page of multiplication and division problems presented as fact families (division pages following each section of multiplication facts). While this may help reinforce the relationship between the two operations, there is nothing engaging about the presentation other than a few cheesy images in the corners of the pages.But even more egregious: whatever foreign publisher compiled this book of problems, INCORRECTLY presented EVERY division problem in a format that is not used or taught in this country. All the division problems, instead of being written as "multiplication sentences" or equations (12 [division sign] 3 = ____ ) or displayed with the dividend under a traditional division bracket have been printed like multiplication problems with the dividend at the top and the division sign replacing the multiplication sign next to the divisor on the second line. As his 2nd grade homeschool teacher, If I were ever to use this book, which I doubt, I would have him rewrite each problem in a correct format. Naturally, he would then hate this book even more.

Absolutely nothing fun or interesting about this. Just lists of problems written in lines on pages with a partial uninteresting Minecraft border. It’s worth about $2. Very disappointing.

These are handy for my 3rd grader while school is closed. He had already been using the workbook as a homework supplement. Somehow Minecraft character pictures in the corners make math more bearable.

I've used these Minecraft books in the past and they were super fun for my kiddo with stories and activities. This one, however, is just pages of problems with one small Minecraft picture at the top. And only 2 pages of multiplication and 2 pages of division for each fact family. My kiddo was definitely disappointed.

My 9-year-old loves this book and it’s great for summer review.

Perfect for kids learning

Looks like it will be fun to do with my grandson. I like my choice.
