Bought for the new lights in my Kitchen
When taking this old lights down in my kitchen the hole was wider than the new ceiling rose so bought these to cover the hole....they come plain so you can varnish or wax them if you wanted.

Goes with the original crabtree Bakelite light switch
Nice hardwood base for the Original Crabtree Bakelite Toggle light switch.Thing is, you need to widen the hole considerably for modern wiring to fit through and for the switch to sit flush with this base.

Diappointed - Needs a lot of drilling and preparation
The middle hole is not wide enough to fit the wires through. Need to widen this hole then drill 2 new holes to allow wires to be fitted into switch. Need to fix switch to plate - needing two pilot holes - there are no markings on the plate to help get this central. You need to drill 2 further holes in plate to be able to fix plate to wall. Overall disappointed.

Brilliant!
Saved my Bacon, Had the ceiling re plastered, the new ceiling rose that had been fitted was larger than the new lamp. left a hole arround the fitting. Painted this white and hey presto no unsightly marks on the ceiling.
