This was a great selection of router bits for a great price
This was a great selection of router bits for a great price. The bits worked well right out of the box. I used them in a Factory-Reconditioned Skil 1817-RT 1-3/4 HP Fixed-Base Router with Soft Start. My tests were done on maple and oak. The carrying case that the bits came in was also an unexpectedly nice touch to the set over all.Pros:*Sharp and ready to use right out of the box*Good variety of bits for the cost*Nice wooden carrying caseCons:*NoneAdditional Considerations:Be aware that certain routers are able to take certain bit sizes. These are the smaller end of the range so most any router should be able to support them at RPM.Overall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Great for Hobbyists
If you are a beginning hobbyists, this set is perfect. The good thing about this set is the number of bits you get for the price. This allows you to try many types of bits to figure out what you will use most often. Then you can buy the more expensive/better quality individual bits that know will be consistently used for your projects later. I am just starting in woodworking and have already used a number of these bits for several projects. I have most used the straight bits and flush trim bit. I guess I worked the flush trim bit too hard, because I have already had to replace it due to bearing coming loose. The individual replacement flush trim bit cost more than this entire set, but I had already used the flush trim bit for several projects and knew I would get enough use from it to justify the cost. Just know you get what you pay for with this set.

So far so good.
I've decided to get into a little bit more detailed woodworking lately and bought myself a few introductory (cheap) tools to start off with. Along with a Ryobi router I got this bit set to see how it goes. The box itself is quite nice but made of thin and cheap wood. I dropped it by accident and the back shattered off but no big deal and it was my fault anyways. The bits themselves are pretty solid and considering the fact that professional bits cost around $10 a piece, these little guys are a bargain. However, like others have stated, there is some light corrosion or something on a lot of the bases of the bits. I think they probably tried to use some sort of lubricant on the bits themselves but that obviously didn't completely serve their purpose. The variety is nice and the pictures that show off what the bits do is very convenient to have for those who can't quite imagine it from looking at the tools themselves. As for the work they do, they've exceeded my expectations so far in the couple of hours I've used them. Thus far on the hard 3/4" plywood and the white pine 1x4s they've done quite well with a very smooth surface that requires little to no sanding (depending on your project and preferences). All in all, I've taken off 1 star for the odd bit of corrosive looking stuff on the surface and the cheap box but I would highly recommend this set to anyone who is trying something new with woodworking or just attempting to cheaply expand their tool set.

good value
If you are into saving money, this is the set for you. If you're using these more as a hobby, they will be great. I bought them specifically for one bit but have found myself using many of the others. They seem to work great and stay sharp. I haven't had any issues with the box falling apart as some of the other buyers have. For what you'd buy one or two bits for in a chain store, you can buy the whole set on here. That's a good value to me. I would purchase this set again for sure.

great router bits at an even better price.
for the price you would think you would get subpar router bits but that is not the case, these router bits are great and for people who are just starting in woodworking or someone looking to pick up a few extra bits at a good price these are a great option. I have had to sharpen one or two as I use them more than others but I have no complaints at all they cut through a lot of different hardwoods without a problem, and I can imagine I will be using this set for many years to come.

Good bits, Bad Case
This is a solid set of router bits, my one criticism is the cheapness of the case itself. The bits do their job well and I've used them on a variety of projects ahead of writing this review. The case is absolute junk though, it's made of very cheap wood with weak fasteners. It arrived with bits loose from the retainers holding them separating from the case. The case survived all of about 3 open and close cycles before one of the hinges pulled out of the wood on the bottom, and could not be reattached. I finally removed the top before it broke completely off and now the bottom sits in a drawer of my tool chest.Bottom line: the bits are good, but get another case if you plan to be on the go.

and it comes with a good mix of bearings that you can interchange
I bought this set of bits for a few shelf projects I wanted to make with MDF. I didn't want to spend too much money on some high end bits that would get abused and dulled by the MDF boards. I had read some reviews from users saying that the bits have broken after 1 or 2 uses. I've already used these its on 5 projects and I've got no problems to report. The cuts are smooth and accurate, and it comes with a good mix of bearings that you can interchange, along with a hex tool. I am not expecting these bits to last a lifetime, but for the cost of the set I think they're a good value!

Bearings are not very good
Most bearings on these router bits are suspect they wobble around in the hand. I have not tried them yet but suspect I may have to replace all the bearings before first use. I set up a return for credit but decided it would be easier just to change the bearings and I can be sure that the tool works properly. The carbides seem to be ok
