Great ski kit for at home waxing prior to hitting the slopes!
We used this ski kit prior to our January ski trip this year and what a difference we could tell after a nice ski waxing. The numerous wax types and tools provided in this kit leave you needing nothing when performing the waxing. The bag is helpful to keep everything clean and organized as this can get messy on whatever table you perform the waxing on. Make sure you melt the wax down enough with the iron to create a slow steady drip onto your skis. If you have any questions definitely watch the product application videos which are quite useful.

Great Kit for skis
This was an epic find. I have used this kit multiple times now and it is great for skis. I wish it had a better file guide and a better iron. The temperature on the iron is not accurate at all. But I just watch the wax and see how it reacts. Overall, this kit has everything that you need for tuning and waxing. I would purchase extra wax when I bought this because it only come with small blocks of wax for 3 different temperatures.

Works great for a starter kit or in a time crunch
I ordered this because my local shops were too backed up to get my skis waxed and edges tuned before a trip to Colorado this coming weekend. It was on sale and delivered to my house in less than 48 hours. Sure, there are better sets, but this got me out of a pinch for less than the ski shop would have charged and got to me with plenty of time. Everything in the kit works okay enough. The iron seems to work best when it is in a heating cycle (light on) vs when it is just using the plate heat.I do wish the boxes for the wax would list f temps as I had to make a cheat sheet. The brake retainer bands are too short for all of my skis, even the 80mm underfoot ones. That being said, I switched to Velcro brake retainers a while ago for the same reason, so just use those. Some of the reviews mention the edge trimmer being crappy, but I found it to be perfectly sufficient for DIY and left my edges sharp and smooth with the 87 degree almost perfectly matching my last edge tune angle. If you have the time, piece together a set with vices and traditional edge/base guides and your wax of choice and you’ll for sure have a better set, but if you don’t know what to look for, you need a set for your mountain property, or you’re in a time crunch this kit is perfect. I will be adding vices but that’s about it.

Nice Wax Kit
I purchased the upgraded kit on sale for $75. Fantastic deal considering it comes with so many useful tools to wax the base and sharpen the edges. I had a mini iron from Demon before, but it would take a long time to do a full wax job. So the larger iron in this kit is a welcome addition. Maybe the only thing missing is a couple of snowboard vises to attach to a table or workbench. This kit is on the larger side, but still fits easily in my snowboard bag for trips.

Perfect starter kit. Good enough quality. Great tool assortment
Great starter kit. P-Tex quality is not great. So, for larger core shots, just go to the shop.Waxing tools are great. Edge sharpener works “well enough” for touch ups. Brush set is nice too.7/10 quality, 5/5 for convenience and kit being thorough.

Pretty decent selection
Overall, this is getting the job done. I did order a different wax at the same time as I had multiple snowboards and skis to wax. The edging tool is ok, but not great and I think there are better out there. DO not use the Outdoor Master "how to" video on youtube. Not enough detail on the specifics of proper waxing/tuning.The instruction book wants you to use a metal scraper for ptex repair, but the kit doesn't come with a metal scraper. The iron works well and I like the brushes. I will probably order a different edging tool. If you just need a basic wax and scrape, this is a good kit and will get you going at least. I'm content with the purchase.

Not ideal for snowboards
This kit has everything you need to tune your base except base cleaner. I tuned my girlfriends skis effortlessly, using cold weather wax and had zero issues. The issue for snowboards is that the iron is anemic; not enough heat. It gets hot, but cannot heat up the base enough even at the highest setting. If you only tune skis, this kit is 5 star. If you are tuning a snowboard, especially a wide board, get a better iron like a Swix or something else with a heavier base so it holds the heat. Takes forever to get the base hot enough to flow the wax well, you’ll use more wax than necessary, and have to scrape a ton off.

This kit seems to have everything needed to tune your own equipment
On arrival, I tuned two sets of skis and everything worked very well. The documentation included is quite lacking, if you are new to DIY tuning. I needed to google search specific how-to topics and then was able to make use of the full product. It wouldn't take much for them to improve the documentation.

Ski wax kit
The ski brake retainers are too small to be used at all, and the ski edge will shake..

Tuned 3 snowboards and skis.
Works well.

Doesn’t come with 1/2 stuff in the photo
Doesn’t come with half the stuff it says it does. Buy a different brand waste of money
