The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a famous route which involves scaling the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, within 24 hours. So if you'd like to take on the challenge of the 3 Peaks, then these are the maps for you! All 3 of the maps are printed on the same Rite in the Rain paper as our normal personalised MiniMaps and are fully waterresistant, allowing you to tackle the challenge in any weather! Updated for 2017: The maps now feature the suggested route marked on them leading you from one map to another and with 100% of the route covered. Whernside From Ribblehead, head left on to the B6255, and follow the path to the side of the viaduct. Continue North, crossing the railway, heading towards the peak of Whernside. To head towards Ingleborough, continue along the ridge, heading towards the B6255, and the Hill Inn. Ingleborough From Whernside and the Hill Inn, briefly follow the road to Ribblehead before crossing the stile to the right, and following the marked path. The peak of Ingleborough is marked by a cairn. To head back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale, retrace your steps for 200 metres or so before heading off the ridge to your right, over several stiles and on to a lane, where your path heads to the left, and over several more stiles before ending back in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Pen-y-Ghent When beginning the Yorkshire Three Peaks in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Pen-y-Ghent is the first peak to be ascended. From the car park, the path to Pen-y-Ghent can be found to the right, along the road to Brackenbottom farm, turning off to the left just before the farm itself.
