Very impressive
This was to connect my NAS directly to my PC as it's the primary PC although my mac can connect via the normal LAN. One thing to note: change the settings from Auto to 10GB to avoid the first of four pings failing, other than that, I am very happy with the blinding speed.

This card is not worth the price of £195,99. Look for an alternate!
I spent a lot of time trying to make it work in two different computers and it was not recognized in the BIOS or in the Windows 10 device manager. This is a cheap China card. I have asked for a return.I have ordered another card "10Gtek® 10GbE PCIE Network Card for Intel X540-T2" which costs slightly more. I have good experience with similar X540 cards in my servers. This card also comes with dual LAN ports.

It doesn't work
Despire related attempts to get this to work ( for my son at Uni) it doesn't. A waste of money and too much bother to send it back for a refund.

Don't buy for Mac.
If you are a Mac user, don't waste your money. This USB-ethernet adapter is does not work with OS X Lion.
