Works good for the XQD cards but not for the SD cards.
Has a click in feature for the XQD which keeps in place very good but the SD card wobbles inside and sometimes disconnect mid import which can get quiet annoying. I end up using a different usb adapter for my SD card so I wouldnt recommend to get this if you need to read both for convenience.

SD card reader super slow and shallow. Can’t read high speed cards at decent rate
For some reason this reader has one of the most shallow SD card readers I’ve ever encountered. Even if the reader supports 3.1 speeds it could never achieve them with SD cards, since the pins would never reach the second set of pads on the card, (if the reader even has them). The XQD reader seems good, but this has me questioning whether it truly is a 3.1 reader, which is most of the reason I purchased it to begin with.

Fast and reliable on a short cord
I haven't done any formal benchmarking, but this seems much faster than my old USB-A XQD reader. My only complaint is that the cord is pretty short (about 8 inches), not giving me much flexibility in where it sits on my desk.

Good transfer rate, but it disrupts a wireless mouse on a shared USB C hub
And on the plus side, with no tweaking and plugged in right out of the box, I was seeing 150 megaBYTES per second (not Megabits) transfer rates from my XQD card. Not a speed record, but solid, and much faster than USB 2.0, and a lot of transfer rates for readers are pure fantasy. So 4 stars for that, its the most important thing.Feature wise I like the extra USB C port on the front of it.I switch between a work Dell Latitude and my home Dell Latitude, so I have all my peripherals on a USB C hub. That way I can swap between the two with one USB connector and get all my peripherals hooked up at once. Kind of like a poor mans docking station. This works well. Now the problems. Let me start with a disclaimer... maybe all of these things use the same chipset and have the same issue. And maybe it's a driver problem, or a newly introduced Windows problem, or even a problem with my USB C Hub. And with some windows putzing, I bet I can figure it out and fix it, and probably get more speed out of the reader as well. But whatever it is, when I have this hooked up to my USB C Hub, but doing absolutely nothing, it makes my wireless mouse (on that same hub) very jumpy and laggy. Even when it just sits there with no card installed. it did this on both laptops (one corporate managed image, one my own Windows 10 setup, but both windows and both similar but not identical Dell latitudes)At the end of the day, this isn't actually that big a deal, I just connect the reader when I want to pull files from the XQD card, pull the files, and then disconnect the reader. In my case, my USB C hub has a button to turn the port on and off, so it's even easier. Or I could hook it to another USB port on the laptop instead of the hub. Most people here aren't complaining about this, so if you plug this into it's own dedicated USB C port, it probably doesn't do this, so this probably doesn't matter to you. And like I said, this sort of thing usually has more to do with Windows and drivers than the hardware you are buying here, so it may just go away with a driver install or windows patch (or suddenly appear). But it would be nice if it didn't do that. I'll update this review if I find a driver / windows setting patch.

Worked once
I got it to work once to transfer photos from XQD card. Now nothing recognizes the reader. I’ve tried multiple cards and different computers, iPad ect.I think it’s dead

Good.
I like this product, i think the only downside to it is when i use 2usb at the same time they tend to disconnect and reconnect. But other than that, it helps me a lot and very useful.

Will admit a bit challenged by what is and is not clearly stated i the marketing lit ... but did not catch that the drive does not support CF EXPRESS which all of the high end DSLR's use... had to buy another drive...
