It is my understanding that scissors can be specific purpose rather than for general use. As you get further into the listing, those same scissors seem to become more generalized and multi purpose.The reason for not using Fabric Scissors to cut paper, and visa-versa, is that it dulls the scissors quickly and they will no longer work well for their primary purpose. I don’t know if this is actually true, but I’ve heard it my entire life. I’ve tried to cut fabric with plenty of dull scissors that weren’t up to the task. Those same scissors had no problem cutting paper.If you go to the fabric stores to buy “Fabric Scissors” they can go for up to a hundred dollars. “Fabric Scissors” priced as low as these OMVESS SCISSORS, invite skepticism.I spent yesterday cutting through all kinds of Fabric with my news sheers. Never had a problem. I tagged them with a piece of tape marked “FABRIC ONLY” “DO NOT USE TO CUT ANYTHING BUT FABRIC!”. Then I hid them! I already know nobody in this house, but me, is going to search for another pair of scissors, if they need them and have these in hand. Label or no label! It’s all about the convenience.They are new and cut fabric beautifully. “How long will they stay sharp enough to do that?” AND “Did some sneaky cretin in my house dull, them by cutting paper with them, without my knowledge?” These are questions that I don’t need keeping me up at night. SOLUTION: I stuck a pair of general purpose scissors in every likely drawer in the house.I am also going to order a second pair of these, because they are so inexpensive. They don’t have to cut fabric FOREVER, to be worth the price!Now I just have to figure out how to protect my “hair cutting” scissors, from a premature demise and un(certain) “death by paper”.

This scissor looks very good and the handle is comfortable to hold. The blades feel very smooth when cutting paper or fabrics, and the cutting experience is consistent and smooth. You can feel the closing tension forces between the blades and you hear the blade teeth is effortlessly cutting the material. The screw also looks great - it is clean looking, polished smoothly. Its weight is fair, not too heavy but not too light either. The price. $5 also seems fair to me. I think this is great choice for multipurpose uses for cutting fabric, leathers and papers.

These titanium coated fabric scissors are insane for the price (currently $7.39). They are comfortable even in my small hands and relatively easy to control in order to make precise cuts. I tested these scissors on garment leather and latigo against my friend's current favorite (and far pricier) leather cutting scissors. These scissors cut just as well as their scissors, but had a tighter pivot point that allowed me to make smaller cuts more easily without the weight of the scissor causing it to close on itself slightly. Overall, I am impressed and looking forward to using these scissors on many more projects with leather and thick fabrics.

Two years ago in 2021, I bought a two-pair set of similar (LIVINGO) tailor’s scissors for their price, because they had an adjustment nut, and I because was tired of cheap scissors without tension nuts. I bought them for general use after a cheap pair that I’d had for years broke at the handle. This pair of QMVESS 9.5 Inch Fabric Scissors seems very similar. Many other products I was looking at didn’t have a tension adjustment nut, but they did have a lot of bad reviews. These are less expensive than that other good set I bought, so they seem like a really good deal. I’ve been very happy with that other set, and use them every day. I expect this QMVESS pair will serve me well. If Mom would never let you use her good sewing scissors for cutting paper, here’s your chance to use a good pair however you like. Recommended.

These scissors are great! I used them to cut fabric and they cut the fabric super smoothly. They are a bit heavy, but they will definitely not break. I highly recommend buying these scissors to craft or even cut fabric.
