Lulu Loves Nursery
This is slightly different from the other Lulu books as it is a straight forward picture book, rather than a lift the flap or tactile book. Lulu is about to start nursery and she is a little worried about saying goodbye to mummy. However, this story cleverly takes you through Lulu's day - explaining all the fun she has and that, more importantly, mummy will be back to collect Lulu when nursery is over. What is more, Lulu gets a certificate for being a good girl on her first day and this book (the paperback version) has a 'First Day at Nursery Certificate' for you to give to your brave little girl on her first day at nursery. You can fill in what your child's teacher is, what they ate, made and what the best bit of the day was. This is a lovely book if you have a child starting nursery, to explain what will happen, what they will do and to reassure them and the certificate is a lovely extra. I assume that you will not be able to properly access the certificate in the kindle version, so if you do want that, then make sure you order the paperback.

Very good intro into what nursery might be like.
The more we share this book, the more she loves it. My 2 year old starts nursery for the first time in about a month. This book seems to be helping. She is excited to get the certificate at the end when she goes to nursery. Easy to discretely read out more relevant names for teacher / friends etc and lots of bits to point out eg I say “she sees a girl at nursery playing with a water table, oh! You like water tables too!.... a boy is dressing up, oh! You like dressing up!....” lots of ways to point out the fun parts of nursery. Really happy with this book so far. Very good for being clear that mummy doesn’t stay with her at nursery, but that she comes back. Doesn’t highlight lots of potential worries like some other books.

100% recox
It’s my daughter’s favourite book. Absolutely great. Kids can really relate, and it is so kind and really helped my daughter to go through the settlement easier. Would have given 10 stars.

Best book I've ever bought
This book is fantastic. I bought this for my three year old for when she started nursery. She was always a bit tearful being left a playgroups etc initially and this had been so helpful by showing the mummy dropping her off and coming back. We read the book as if it is about my little girl and we've been reading it right up until her nursery induction where she skipped off to play with the other children without so much as a glance back at me!

Great book!
I bought this after by chance seeing it on cbeebies the week before registering my 2 year old at nursery. Thanks to the lockdowns my little one is really nervous around adults and having read this book with her for a couple of weeks she was SO brave and almost walked straight into the nursery with the strange new adults without a look back at us.Even if you’re not looking at joining nursery it’s a lovely story with lovely illustrations.

Good book for kids
My little girl loves this book and asks for it by saying 'YoYo' instead of 'Lulu'. However I've docked a star because in the book, the author says that 'on very special days they eat ice cream' and after Lulu's first day at nursery she gets ice cream. Not really my style to bribe my kid with ice cream. Luckily my kid hates ice cream so I change it to 'on very specil days they go to the park' and she's none the wiser 😊

Perfect story book
I bought this to help with the transition to nursery for my little girl. The story & coordinating pictures, make it easy for her to understand & she is linking this with her transition.

We've read this story lots of times and already we've gone from him saying 'I'm not going to nursery again' to saying ' I'm gonn
My little one started his settling in period at nursery this week and has been really upset. This book has really helped him & helped to re-enforce that mummy will come back and pick him up. The other nursery books we've tried haven't really touched on this at all and this has been his main anxiety, he wants to go to nursery but he wants mummy to stay with him! We've read this story lots of times and already we've gone from him saying 'I'm not going to nursery again' to saying ' I'm gonna be a brave boy like Lulu and have fun at nursery!'Still got a way to go but this book has helped my little bookworm enormously!
