I first got a very popular tree anchor which is about 25 bucks, then I realized I need another one for my paddle board, ordered this one, cheaper price, arrived today and the build quality blows my first one away, feels really solid and I am very sure it will last at least a few years, bonus the wires are pre installed, open the box and ready to use!!!Great product for the price!

Holds very well on tree branches. Sure it works great on other stuff too but that's all I tried so far. Only thing keeping it from being a 5 star item is the rope. Way too short for me. I added 8 feet to it and probably will replace the whole rope with something longer and stronger.

When it arrived, I thought we'd never have a hard-core need for this hard-core clip. Then we took it out on a kayaking adventure and found ourselves clipping onto so many things, just to hang out. It also works well when on shore, to ensure you don't lose your kayak.The bag is a nice feature, but I'm not one to keep a clip in the bag if I'm going to be pulling it out for use so many times. And, if I were to drop the clip into the water, it would probably be when it's in my hand.

I actually ordered two different ones of these and this one is the better of the two. It comes completely assembled in a flotation case with a carabiner for attachment, so no matter what if you roll your kayak, you won’t lose your anchor.I have used it several times with my kayak and my paddleboard and have zero issues. It makes it so easy to just clamp onto anything in the river and allow you to be anchored while you do the things you need to do in the middle of whatever water you’re in.I was able to attach myself to a buoy, several different logs that were anchored in the water, posts, docks, and light towers on the river.I was able to anchor underneath an osprey nest and enjoy the viewThis is a must have for anybody who is going to be on the water. There is going to come a time when you’re going to need to anchor to some thing and this is going to solve that problem.

The anchor itself is quite nice. It holds onto smaller stumps and trees really well, and its even proven to be helpful in holding my kayak close to my wife's while taking a break on the water. I don't have any issue with the anchor necessarily. However, the accompanying products were less than stellar. The carabiner is all but useless. Its tiny, and the spring is weak. It would be far more beneficial to include a larger carabiner to be able to tie off to with the included paracord. The pouch fits the product, but the zippers aren't the greatest. The seams of the bag are already busting. If you are going to have a top notch product, everything that accompanies it should be just as high quality and useful.

I use it for my kayak. It is easy to retrieve and there are places where an anchor is not needed or wanted.
