These cut discs are for small trims and cuts
I tried my first disc today. I was cross-cutting 1”x4”x8’ pine trim boards. I needed to remove them without damaging the panels beneath. The job called for a nimble tool with smooth cutting. The 4-1/2” angle grinder was a great choice. The first few cuts were like cutting warm butter. The blade was dull by the 10th cut. Quite satisfactory. They are not circular saw blades. At the low cost, wearing out in an hour or two is fine. I’ve ordered 2 more. Other 4-1/2 discs I looked at in the stores cost around 30 bucks. No thanks. These are way more economical for occasional use by a home owner. BTW, the disc still cuts but it’s a slow process. Price & efficiency make these a good buy.

Works as expected.
It’s not for major woodworking. But for me, rigging sometimes I need a few pieces off 2x4 or 4x4. Most of the time you have to scavenge and cut your own. I always carry my grinder. So this is a good disc for me to carry.

Good but short lived.
You can turn it over and get more use. I'm using it to fight bamboo my idiot neighbor planted. Only to invade my property causing huge amounts of time and money to control. I have consider filing suit but nothing fixes stupidity. Does nicely flush cut the crap at ground level.

Works great for cutting pvc
Got these to cut plastics and maybe the occasional trimming of our small palm tree. These work great for my purpose. They fit perfect with my dewalt 20v grinder without any adapters.

Primarily good for demolition with no embedded nails or steel
I originally liked the idea of cutting wood and other materials using my DeWalt 20-volt portable grinder. It made me feel like a cowboy, unconstrained and ready for action. Unfortunately, since my grinder has nothing to keep me square when cutting stock, and it has nothing to help me cut along a straight line, I end up making amateur cuts and can even cut in a curve that binds these blades. I'd say these blades aren't even for rough carpentry, but for very-rough carpentry or simple demolition.I see that these blades have a use for the rough cutting of PVC, lumber, plywood, or the sidewall of a tire, but for constructing something, whether to the standards of rough or finish carpentry, unless these blades are mounted on a true saw these are not the blades to use. During demolition, because there can always be hidden nails, these blades may also not be the ones to use.I admit, there are situations where something needs to be hacked off or sliced through. For those situations, as long as there are no hidden nails or steel belts, these blades could be a good choice. For this reason I gave these blades 3-stars. Keep in mind they won't make a cowboy out of you, either, you still need to use a saw to cut perpendicular and straight, because handholding a grinder will not do it for you. Don't let these blades bind or hit steel, either, or the grinder may run away on you - take it from a voice of experience. It would be worse if the blade cracked or shattered, that wouldn't be good for anybody. Do take care when using these blades. After using them a little, I'm holding them back for when freestyle use in simple materials is good enough. You should take care in using them, too.

Cutting wood with my grinder
These blades fit on my Makita grinder without issue. I was able to cut up a few wood shelves and you can see the before and after. You may need to change blades quickly for larger jobs but for smaller cuts that can't easily be made with a circular saw, these help a lot.

They are less likely to get stuck on the angle grinder.
I bought them cause I was looking for a way to make precision cuts with an angle grinder, but you can't make precision cuts with an angle grinder. They cut wood just fine though, and they don't seem to freeze up on the angle grinder as much, compared to traditional saw blades that is.
