Eyoyo Portable Mini Bluetooth 2D&1D Barcode Scanner Wireless

I use this scanner mainly to manage my growing vinyl collection on Discogs. Scanning an album's barcode is much faster and more convenient than manually entering the UPC when I add records or look up a specific release. The scanner is small, lightweight, and easy to keep handy while I work through albums. Bluetooth connectivity works well with phone apps, which makes it particularly convenient when I don't want to be tied to my computer. It has become a very useful tool for cataloging and managing my vinyl collection. Simple, portable, and does exactly what I need. Five stars.

I work in a warehouse and this little scanner is a lifesaver. It's small, about the size of a key fob almost. Battery lasts for a surprising amount of time. And it's super convenient. I keep it clipped to me so I can't lose it and when I need a scanner I have one instead of carrying around a bulky corded scanner that my work provides. Runs off of both USB dongle and Bluetooth so I can connect it to my phone if need be and quickly switch modes and connect back to computer if I need to. I love it and it's well worth the $50 I paid for it. I recommended it to all my coworkers.

Hold the button down for 8 seconds until you hear a beep. Let go of the button and the light will start blinking blue. It is now in pairing mode. Pair it to your device and start scanning. I had it up and running in a few minutes. The unit would only charge when I used the provided charging cable. I don’t think it likes fast chargers. It took me a short time to scan in 200 movies to Movie Buddy on IOS. And scanning my CD collection into Music Tracker was super fast. Both Music Buddy and Music Tracker can be purchased with a one time fee. Do not waste your money on CLZ. They don’t let you own the App and want a subscription.

I may have received a defective unit. The device I received did not include the Bluetooth dongle shown in the product images, and I’m unable to access any Bluetooth functionality. After powering it on, there’s no way to enter pairing mode, and it does not appear as discoverable on my phone. The device only has a single button, which seems to trigger a scan function—there are no menu options or controls to navigate settings. It doesn’t function as advertised and won’t connect to anything. Overall, this has been a very disappointing purchase.

Stopped connecting after a month. Won't connect via Bluetooth or the dangle. So dont think its worth the money. Update: company reached out to help me troubleshoot but I didnt have time so they sent me a replacement for free.

This device is simple to use, simple to navigate the various settings, and has saved me so much time and backaches. The only issue I have is opening the manual to get to the QR codes to adjust the settings is a pain, especially if you need to be changing settings regularly, but that is just me nit-picking. This is a great scanner!

I purchased this scanner to test for working with a provider's tablet. The scanner is nice and seems of decent quality. I reached out to support for a PDF version of the owner's manual and they responded the next day with a link as well as the manual attached to the email. The one downside I found is that it seems like you have to wait for it to power off automatically rather than being able to turn it off by pressing a holding a button. I configured the scanner to output like our big scanners and it worked great. I sent it to the provider to test and it would not scan the barcodes on the patient wristbands. I reached out to support again about it not scanning Aztec Barcodes. I then read in the manual that they are supported so not sure why it would not scan them. The next day support replied with a QR Code to scan to enable Aztec barcodes and now it works great. We have only had the scanner for a few days but are very impressed with the product support so far. Highly recommend this scanner/brand.

Update: February 2020 - The company reached out to me via email and offered support. I was able to pair a new scanner successful to both my iPhone 11 and to my Windows 10 PC via the provided cable and USB Dongle. I am not really sure why it works now or if I was doing anything wrong with the first scanner. This scanner pairs and "re-pairs" successful to the iphone even after using it against my Windows 10 PC. in the last 6 weeks there has been several IOS updates so I'm not sure if that played a factor in it working now. My iphone is now on IOS 13.3.1. The company support was very good. They proactively contacted me and followed up several times. Communications was very good but it is via email that comes in about 1am central time for me. ====================== December 2019 - The unit paired to bluetooth on my iphone 11 fine and worked as expected. I was also able to scan using the USB cord into Windows 10. I paired the device to the dongle and it worked fine with Windows 10 for a few days. Once I tried to use it with bluetooth again nothing would work. The device would enter bluetooth mode but never connect successfully. I rebooted everything numerous times, reset the device per instructions, and tried every iteration to make a bluetooth connection again - the device would never show up as a bluetooth device in iphone....I even tried against multiple devices but it would never show up. It continued to work (once reset) using the USB cable and the dongle but not bluetooth ever again. I went thru everything in the user manual in detail but no luck. I was going to contact support but saw the only option was to send them an email - that was very disappointing to me - I expect a phone number for a device that wasn't even 3 days old and experiencing issues - I didn't feel like I would get anywhere via email support other then for them to reiterate what was already in the user manual. I returned the device unfortunately. For the three days I had it the unit worked on bluetooth and it did everything as expected. I wish I could have kept it - the size is great and the price was good.

Bought the Eyoyo Bluetooth 2D&1D Barcode Scanner to quickly manage inventory via barcodes and it has performed wonderfully. This barcode reader usually scans the barcodes really quickly. The only issue it has had was with a barcode covered in a really shiny plastic. It did have a little trouble with that but did eventually read the code. It is quite easy to setup and get using with a computer. You can either use the dongle provided for wireless connection to a computer or you can use the cable (also provided) if you are working close to a computer. You really do need to keep the manual stored somewhere close by. All the functionality for configuring the device, like turning beeps on or off, is done by QR codes stored in the manual. I suppose once you are happy with how you have it configured you may not need the manual on hand but definitely not something you would want to throw away. I haven't had any problems with the battery life. It works easily for the couple of hours between been connected directly to the computer. Overall I think that his is good value for money as I haven't had any problems and has done exactly as I needed without spending a huge amount of money.

See Amazon have lumped product reviews together again. This is for the EY-015. See below for review of EY-023 EY-015 --------- Let's be clear this is an occasional use only item. This having been said it seems to work perfectly for the challenges I have thrown it so far. It has all the advantages and disadvantages you'd expect from an item this small, which in essence boil down to - easy to carry, but fiddly to use. The manual is good and bad as well: for once it is, compared with other scanner manuals I have experienced, comprehensive and easy to use (albeit with somewhat fractured English in places). Main problem is that it is very, very small and difficult to read and use. You can, however, as I did, download the manual as a PDF from Enyo and print if at a suitable size. EY-023 -------- Slightly bigger and thus more comfortable for someone like me with large hands. Operation is virtually identical to early model except the ON/OFF actions are marginally different. For once on a scanner the Bluetooth works without problem, although it is noticeably slower than the 2.4G wireless connection. Can't get the mechanical switch off by holding down the volume key to work. The manual is approx 20% bigger than the EY-015's and thus easier to read: is is also A7 so much easier to print at a bigger scale.
