A flawless reprint of an absolute classic
First of all, if you owned and treasured the original, and still mourn its loss; this is an immaculate and respectful reproduction. Aside from an introductory box and a note on the cover, it feels like a brand new copy from the bookshop back in 1979. No alterations, abridgements, updates, etc. The print quality and binding are excellent. On its own merits, it's utterly fascinating. It's clearly well researched and written by people who truly understood science and tech (given it was 1979!) Some of it is hilarious, some oddly accurate, some being 'invented' today (eg the book features a better version of Hyperloop), and some still yet to come. I have to highlight the quality of the illustrations - most pages feature large, full-colour, carefully executed paintings. On every page there's this consistent sentiment of excitable futurism and wide-eyed optimism which I really love. There's no cynicism. The book truly believes in a bright future.

An Optimistic Look into our Future
I originally bought this for my nephew, but loved the book so much I had to buy one for myself. The images are retro and spacey - There are plenty of glistening cities, aerodynamic cars, and starships - There's a lot of information between the pages too. Excellent for helping young (and old) minds think over its concepts. As a bonus it lacked the usual 'dystopian' Philip K. Dick vibes that plagues most sci-fi today. According to this, the coming times will be exciting and fruitful! A breath of fresh air.

The wild and whacky world of the future - maybe with a pinch of salt
Fantastic, exciting, colorful and well illustrated - a glimpse of the future from the late 70's. Unfortunately teleportation has not materialized (excuse the pun) but a lot of the futuristic described possibilities have - moreso the dystopic ones. And this portal to the future describes yet further forthcoming delights - intergalactic travel, sea cities & rocket belts to name a few.True, some of the predictions are outlandish but many are spot on. All in all, a very entertaining read and I recommend this book for both you and your android chums to share and enjoy.

The Future - From the Past!
I loved this as a lad, it's great to see it reprinted now I'm an adult. I read my old one to bits, so now I have a new one! Ah, the aspirations of the past, versus the reality of what happened! Still, let us look forward!

In a world of possibilities anything is possible with the right foresight and vision..
I bought this as I was intrigued to see if any of the ideas put forward in the book had actually come true. Some are a little far fetched for now, but who knows what may happen in the far future.Must say an enjoyable read..

An excellent reprint
I had this book when it was originally published, back then this was a prediction of what the future might be. It's been interesting to see what actually happened. All in all, a great reprint and if you had any affection for the original this is a worthwhile purchase.

Blast from the past
Really cool! My dad had loads of similar books that he kept for me to read as a kid, the drawings are fantastic.
