Bright and really nice tone
Replaced some lights which were meant to be warm white in the kitchen, but looked near enough like the white lights in a hospital. Replaced them with these and it now looks like a completely new kitchen. Very nice tone, bright, low power consumption and well made. Only time will tell on durability, but overall based on first impressions I would recommend.

Good Quality, Nice Light, Expensive
Being a Philips branded bulb these are very good quality but I did think they were a little overpriced.Had to buy this pair of bulbs as I had to replace a total of 22 50w halogen bulbs in a house we have just moved into. I was able to get a good deal on a two boxes of 10 but needed another two so got these so in compassion they were a bit overpriced even for the name brand. They are of course being LED and under 5w vastly superior in energy efficiency when compared to the halogens that were using 90% more power so really a no brainer swapping over to LEDs but for spotlights LEDs are also much safer as they produce less than half of the heat of halogens. Unfortunately I learnt that the hard way as one of our downlighters running a halogen bulb actually went on fire due to the 200 degrees centigrade plus heat.... also didn't help that the previous owner had 22 50 w bulbs running of a single 5 amp fuse that was actually a pre-blown fuse that he had wrapped the outside of it with thick solid core wire.... but that's another story. So as I say the LEDs are much safer in this respect.I cannot speak in regards to longevity of these particular LED bulbs but the LED bulbs in general will last a long time. The light produced is bright but not a stark white a nice warm white that is pleasant.

Illuminating value
Some of my kitchen downright had gone and I needed to replace them. Found these gems and ordered half expecting them the be the wrong type of warm light or weak brightness. But no, they were excellent. Arrived quickly, and easily fitted. Kitchen is now much brighter. Highly recommend.

It is a bulb
It’s a lightbulb, so does what it’s meant to do

Brighter - lower operating temperature - expensive - saves on electric bill - lasts - Eco-friendly
So my room was getting too hot, I discovered I was using 6 x 50watt halogen bulbs (300 watt total!) that operated around 160-180 degrees Celsius. For a long time i'd put the temperature down to my gaming PC, monitors and the length of time I was in the room. Switching to these 4 watt bulbs (24 watt total) has really cut the electricity down and since then I've replaced the entire house where I can with them. They were 50 lumens brighter but significantly more expensive. It's hard to judge their logevity since there's lots of factors as to why a bulb may blow and in many cases it's due to the houses power output, faulty wiring, the light fitting and many more things. So far 1 has blown out of a total of 30 bought but I would say that's a decent outcome. The one that stopped working stopped the moment I turned on the lights after swapping the bulb, it tripped the fuse. Replacing it with a different one worked but I have no way of gauging whether or not it's the bulb at fault.Overall these are more expensive but operate much cooler than halogen and are far more Eco-friendly and reduce your overall electricity output.

NOT the 15000 hrs as promised !
Fits perfectly (as a standard bulb should). Good light output . . . but . . .Let's do the sums: Purchased on 24/03/2022 and installed April 2022. Between now and then (03/11/2024) is approx 2.5 years. The light is on for a maximum of eight hours per day, so . . . 2.5 x 365 x 8 = 7300 hours. Allowing for holidays and lower 'summer time usage', a nearer estimate would be 2.25 years and six hours per day i.e. 2.25 x 365 x 6 = 4930 hours.Summary: this bulb has lasted either half or one third of the time it says on the box !
