A great read
A new angle on a familiar story - just as easy and enjoyable to read as the older books. The story line includes characters old and new and has a fresh feel. A great read

Entertaining read
Are Raymomd E. Feist's books literary genius... No! But they are hugely entertaining reads with loveable and relatable characters. Talwin Hawkins is one of my favourite characters. I don't fully know why. He does some questionable things for questionable reasons. But I just really enjoy his character arc.

epic saga
For anyone who thought the lord of the rings could have used a pinch of game of thrones to make it truly epic

The conclave of shadows trilogy
The first two books are brilliant, but the last book just feels like a filler and scene setter. I feel this could have been abbreviated to just a couple of chapters unless there is more to the scene setting than I can see for the future books, then the last couple of chapters seemed rushed.I still enjoyed the last book though as I enjoy the development of the lands in Midkemia.I hope the next set of books are as enjoyable

Visit the immersive world of Midkemia with Feist
I love all of the series and these three books are no exception. I have read them all up to this point and would recommend the approach to anyone who wants to read a lengthy series of books that have elements of fantasy, deeply drawn out characters, and just enough recognition of our own world to make it believable. The stories in all of these books move quickly and they are real page turners. If this is your genre, then you won't be disapointed.

Great read
Years after reading the Rift war cycle and the Tsurani trilogy (Janna Wursts), I have finally decided to read Fiest’s later books and I am not disappointed. The magical Journey in Midkemia continues with new and interesting characters in a tale of revenge as Talon (Tal Hawkins) seeks to punish those that murdered his tribe and family, while Pug et al work tirelessly in the background to counter the growing threat of the “nameless god”

Riveting!
I have read and reread magician and other riftwar books up until shards of a broken crown. This book (and the audio version on audible) easily match the rest for the scope of the rest. Set 30 years after Shards of a broken crown, you will see some reference to characters from the previous quartet of books. Would love to see these made into an anime series. Feist is one of the original masters of fantastical fantasy!
