Driving Licence Holder Plastic Wallet 2011

This handy plastic wallet safely holds the old full paper license (I believe that plastic licenses weren't issued before 1998) and it also holds the more recent full paper counterpart to a UK plastic driving license. Its two credit-card size outer pockets will take your plastic driving license & possibly an insurer's or recovery card details.The original plastic wallet supplied to me by DVLA was robust and it has lasted a long time but this is as good as any like-for-like-design driving license-holder as you're ever likely to find. If you no longer have your paper counterpart it would also probably be ideal to hold a single printed Insurance Certificate and MOT Certificate although I don't use it for this. A highly recommended and very useful product at a very low price.Footnote: Since around June 2015 we've been told to destroy our old driving license paper counterparts as they 'no longer have any legal status.' Well, I'm so glad that I ignored this rather short-sighted advice by DVLA by deliberately keeping mine - it has actually been requested for inspection (in France) on two occasions - once when I've been hiring a car and once, along with about twenty other vehicles, by the Gendarmerie during a motorway census. Each wished to speedily check for endorsement details. Food for thought.

The best feature about this plastic wallet is that it perfectly accommodates the paper counterpart of one's driving licence as well as the plastic card counterpart. This is a highly innovative product! Richard, Norwich, December 2016.

This is a perfectly good plastic wallet and probably works well for the new style license (card + printed page). However, I bought it to replace the cover of the old paper only version on the basis of one of the reviews which suggested it would work. It is way to big (wide) for these old style licenses and so I have had to fold it over and tape it to make the license fit reasonably. The height is OK, just a few mm short of perfect. Thereofre for this reason only I give it 4 stars.

Great item for holding my driving licence the Northern Ireland Style Ones.I cant say how it is compared to the UK or Souther Ireland Driving Licences as I haven't seen them.Anyways great fit for the paper part and a small neat place for the card part of the driving licence.Quickly arrived with me.

Just what I wanted. My old one which was given me with my licence when I passed my test in 1993 has finally given up.I hope this lasts as long.Same presentation with a slot for the plastic part of your licence and plenty of room for you to slide the paper part in.It can be folded into 3 making it quite small

Based on another review I made this purchase for my N.Ireland driving licence as my old licence holder was rather worn. It turned out to be the perfect fit for both the paper part and card. It comes with 2 card pockets, which was very convenient as I used the second one to slip in my motor breakdown service card. A very good worthwhile buy.

Since you no longer get a plastic cover for your drivers licence , this is brilliant for protecting the paper document & keeping the plastic card together. I bought 2 & they are perfectly sized for UK drivers licence. They arrived within 2 days of ordering, an excellent, prompt service. I would highly recommend this purchase 👍🏻

Nowhere near the original style. Not worth the money at all.
