Great for more than just cameras - duffel bags as well!
I really loved my gym duffel but the strap wasn't very good, so I decided to get one of these as a replacement. It's pretty expensive, but I'm a big fan of peak design products and I thought it would be worth it given that I have a long commute to the gym every day with a heavy bag. The strap is comfortable, well balanced, elegant and sturdy. It comes with a lifetime warranty so a few years down the line when this bag finally kicks it I can easily attach it to the next one. Definitely worth it!

Worth the extra money for me
I have tried out a bunch of different straps, cheap and expensive, and this is the one that works for me.The attachment system is fine, I like it - and that is the unique selling point for Peak Design. A strong attachment is absolutely vital but most of the higher end straps have this - unlike many cheaper straps which often skimp on a safe and sturdy way to attach to your gear. But the real reason I love this strap is the extra wide and sturdy strap itself. It is made of what looks & feels like a car seatbelt strap. The metal & plastic slider system feels high quality and just works as desired. Even with a lighter lens the extra comfort is noticeable and with a heavy telephoto lens on my DSLR the difference between this and lesser straps is immense. It's not cheap but its comparable to other high quality straps. Recommended for anyone carrying a DSLR if you like comfort.

Top camera strap.
Expensive but quality item. I saw this as an alternative to the version of the Black Rapid strap I have used for years I was a little doubtful but decided to take a chance as I always found the Black Rapid strap would cause the camera / lens to bang about when walking whereas this looked as if it would keep the camera in position better.I have to say it is very good even with a Nikon D4, 24-70mm, 300mm, and 70-200mm f2.8 heavy lens combinations which was a surprise. The strap is easily adjustble and I can get the camera in position ready to shoot or out the way comfortably in the small of my back.It appears to be more comfortable than the Black Rapid and “slides” Ok when in use.Downsides? Turning the strap to use the “grippy” side is a bit of a faff. Getting used to the camera strap connectors and lenses were annoying at first but I really don’t notice them now. The Black Rapid is quicker to connect and remove from the camera and the strap can be left on. That aside I still feel the Slide is the more confortable of the two and prefer to use this now.One last thing I saw a review that said the slide was hard to store in a bag / pocket its not and is much easier than the Black Rapid.Long and short I would recommend.

Pricey but quality
I was a bit on the fence with this strap, saw countless videos and reviews on it so I took the plunge. It came nicely packaged with a quality box, it’s the little things. Used it a full day with a Sony A7IV with a Sigma Art 24/70. Very comfortable indeed and felt very safe as I’m always aware of my cameras on straps. Beautiful product. Well worth the money.

Well designed and well made
I wanted an easily detachable camera strap, and this one fits the bill. Very well made, with quality fittings. It does seem a little unsettling to trust your precious camera and lens to a thin piece of cord. But with the assurance of an 80kg breaking strain, I was reassured. Attaching and detaching the strap from the camera is quick and easy. The fitting has a positive click when engaged. My only very minor criticism is that the strap is quite stiff. Overall, however, I’m very pleased with it.

Well made and easy to use
Great quality product. Like the smooth and grippy option and ease with which the strap position can be reconfigured. Having previously purchased a “lite” version for use on another, lighter camera, I have every confidence this strap will do the job I want.

I love these straps
This is my second time to purchase a Slide strap. My old one is still in excellent condition, I got another for my second camera. This has to be the best strap I've ever owned. It's comfortable and great for shooting events where I'm carrying my gear around a lot but need to look smart and be quickly ready to shoot. The anchor points make it quick and easy to get rid of the strap when not needed or change the configuration if I need to.The quick length adjustment is also an excellent feature as I find I need to change lengths quite often depending on the situation, carrying two cameras or putting on a coat to go shoot outside and then coat off again to inside. What bothers me on the new version of the strap is that they no longer include an Arca Swiss plate like they did before. The new little plate is useless for me. First of all it can only be fastened on with an Allen key (included) which is something that I'll have forgotten, lost or be unable to find when I'm quickly trying to get the thing off. Second, for someone like me who is often putting my rig on a monopod or tripod at events I don't have time to take this stupid thing off and on (especially with an Allen key) to put an Arca Swiss plate on. So my Slide plate has gone into a drawer never to be seen again and replaced with an Arca Swiss plate.Another gripe is that it you want a Capture Arca Swiss compatible plate like before you have to buy it separately now and it's not cheap. Not only that the new one is not compatible with my old Capture version 2. Did they do this to force me to upgrade to the expensive Capture version 3?You'll also need to keep a close eye on your anchor points. Check them regularly for signs of wear, if one broke it could be an expensive disaster. They do last a reasonable length of time and aren't too expensive to replace. So it's an expensive strap and they've removed a useful component but I still think it's the best strap out there. I can't praise it enough really.
