Tie Die Kit
I recently purchased this product from Amazon and overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. The packaging was excellent - it arrived in a sturdy box with ample cushioning to protect it during transit. This attention to detail gave me confidence that the product inside would be in good condition, and I was not disappointed. In terms of manufacture quality, it's decent but not outstanding. While it doesn't scream high-end, it also doesn't feel flimsy. It seems to be built to last for regular use, which is what I was hoping for at this price point.Considering the price I paid, I believe it offers reasonable value for money. It serves its purpose well and fits within my budget. I've been using it for a few weeks now and haven't encountered any major issues.Overall, if you're looking for a product that comes well-packaged, offers decent quality, and is reasonably priced, this could be a good option for you. Just keep in mind that it might not have the premium feel of higher-end alternatives, but it gets the job done without breaking the bank

will need a large bucket for tie dye
Fabric Tie Dye Kit with 3 Colors | Indigo, Sunflower Yellow and Turkey Red | Perfect Clothing Dying | Painting Party Supplies DIY Art Craft Set for Kids and AdultsThis kit comes with a variety of items needed to dye your own fabric including 3 dye packets, cloth, 2 aprons, Alum, Caustic, Sodium hydrosulphite, elastic bands and rubber gloves .You will also need a few other items before you get started: A large 3-4 gallon container or bucket as well as a long handled spoon made from metal or plastic. Funny enough these are not items I have in my crafting box as a novice tie dyer! The kit comes with fabric which appears to be very similar to that used for disposable hospital gowns so its very light weight and flimsy and probably not something I would choose to make into normal clothing or other every day items. In the pack it is described as a tablecloth. After dying the fabric as per the instructions you will also need some white vinegar or acetic acid solution neither of which are provided. Although the kit is described as having no chemicals or toxins I think they are referring to the actual set of 3 dyes as both Alum and Sodium hydrosulphite are considered chemicals. They come with a small warning on the pack: "Mordents - Hazardous if misused and expect natural odour when mixed with dyes".Most mordants are tricky to work with as they have toxic properties, so I would not allow young children to work with the kit unless highly supervised. I would also recommend covering as much of your face as you can and working outdoors, weather permitting.I may also have a go with some of the Alum at making my own crystal covered shells which looks a really fun thing to do. I like the colours in this pack and it does seem like a fun kit with most of the essentials included, but I am new to dying fabric and will need to get in some suitable dying containers to really see proper results.

Good for getting started
My wife loves doing thing like this, although the last time she did tie-dye was a long time ago, so while she remembers how to do it, she does not remember a few steps. So this is great with this kit is has all the bits you need, minus the shirt, and so she and my daughter and son all got a plain white T-shirts and the project commenced. The outcome was not an amazing success, but we did have 3 very unique shirts at the end and I think everyone was quite happy with the results.Overall we do not know a lot about tie dye, and from this everyone was quite happy with the results.

They give Hydrogen sulphite & Caustic soda for indigo dye which is a harsh chemical
They give sodium hydrosulphite & Caustic soda to make vat for indigo dye which is a very harsh chemical. And when you create vat with these chemicals you can smell strong chemical gas being evaporates from the mixture. Plus overpriced for what they are giving in the kit for few rubber bands, cheap gloves, I will never buy again. Not value for money and misleading.

The most sustainable tie dye kit that I've seen
For years I've been offered loads of "easy" tie dye kits to review that were usually Chinese imports with no suggestion of sustainability or consideration of the environment. This Honey Oak kit is the total opposite, packaged sustainability, likely packed by hand by a small company with strong sustainability ambitions, and an emphasis on organic ingredients.Given that textile dyes and the textile industry is one of the biggest polluters of waterways, I've never felt confident about trying out tie dye with our kids until coming upon this set, and I'm really glad that I waited. Although you'll need a few extras at home to make this work (particularly big buckets!) you get most of what you need in this set. I should clarify however that the fabric included for dyeing isn't anything you'd want to keep, it's for practice only (IMO) so give it a test with this then pick up a white t-shirt of similar to use what you've learned.Generally I'm much happier to see a set like this for sale on Amazon and support a company with a conscience rather than the much more wasteful alternatives.

Perfect for a beginner
As a newbie to any tie-dying before, this kit was perfect. It contains most things you will need, 3 beautiful colours, rubber bands, a biodegradable bag, 2 aprons for protection, a tablecloth, a pack of gloves and mordents ( a substance used to bind dyes on fabrics).Just a big bucket and whatever you fancy dying is what you will need.I really liked how natural they have tried to be, with the dyes being non-toxic and biodegradable. Great for getting the children involved as well. There also wasn't any plastic in sight.Overall, a great starter kit for anyone wanting to experiment with tie dye, with a very easy-to-use kit that's good for the environment.
