Vought's F-8 Crusader - Part 3 (Naval Fighters Series No 18)

I had a feeling this might be an Amazon reprint because it was listed on Steve Ginter's website as being out of stock (see [...]) I decided to give it a shot anyway. The book is bound between glossy color front and back covers like the originals. However, inside the paper quality is poor. It seems almost as if it's newsprint. The print quality is on the level of a photocopy. The quality of the photos are significantly reduced and the drawings in most cases are hard to decipher. I'm surprised that they are selling these for the price of the original! I had a chance to compare my Amazon printed copies to some originals a friend have and I can confirm there is a disappointing decrease in quality. Buyer beware! I would recommend opting for a second hand copy of the original Ginter printing. Don't get me wrong, these books have valuable information and reference materials for the modeler and Naval Aviation enthusiast. The Amazon copies just aren't quite as nice.

It's a good source of information and possesses good photos but all are black and white only within the body of the booklet; the only color photos provided are those on the back cover. It would be a first class reference if color photos dominated the publication.

This isn’t the original publication with thick, high gloss paper. Its a cheap, photocopied, print-on-demand piece of garbage. Stock paper, blurry photographs. Avoid.

Quick and easy to deal it, will buy again from this seller, if they have what I want.
