good jump start
This is the only reference I have found for the current OIM suite. It will get you up and running with the software, but for advanced configurations you'll still be hunting for articles on Oracle support. Keeping expectations in check, this book is the best there is for the current suite of Oracle Identity and Access management in 2017.

Great book.. a must read...
Great book...The author has taken time to explain the basic details of Identity & Access management. It goes beyond just the installation and configuration as it dives into details of what the products are meant for and what the product capabilities are. The details on how the OAM and IDM integrates together and how to make sure they are performing well with the integration is the hidden gem of the book, along with Chapter 15 which covers the topic of integrating OAM with Oracle E-Business suite. With EBS 12.2, this problem/question is on almost every EBS customer's mind as how to make that integration work and the details that the author has provided, takes away those concerns and questions. There are several white papers and presentation by various Oracle IDM/OAM experts over the time, and those can be used for a specific purpose only, but the way the book is organized is almost like IDM/OAM 101 and every chapter builds on top of each other. I started reading the book for just getting more information on the logical architecture and physical deployment and this book gave me some of the tips and tricks on the product as well. I think this should be a must read for all the Identity and Application administrators.Hopefully, we will see more books like this from the author. Great job once again....

A Beginner's Book on Oracle Identity and Access Management for the Experienced Technologist
Identity and Access Management is not an easy field to grasp. Oracle Identity and Access Management in particular is difficult because administrators need to have some experience in database administration, application development, and system administration in addition to at least a basic understanding of identity and access management. This book could be considered a beginner's book but one would have to already have some experience in all of these fields to understand the concepts and get through the exercises. If you are an experienced administrator but brand new to Oracle identity and access management, this book is perfect for you.Ken starts out with an overview of the various products in the Oracle Identity and Access Management suite and the purpose for each, giving context to the products by detailing real-world examples of how each product would be used in a typical IT environment. With a grasp of what the products do, the book goes into the detailed 'how' with a step-by-step walk-through of each task needed to set up an enterprise class environment – flush with screen shots, code blocks, and tables. As the chapters progress and the individual pieces are built, the final chapters show how the products tie together to create a cohesive and resilient environment. If you get stuck on something, Ken includes a chapter on troubleshooting at the end.

This book is really good for someone who is new or just 6 months ...
This book is really good for someone who is new or just 6 months into IAM. The term "Pro" was really misleading. ITs really good for newbies to setup IAM systems but overall for IAM consultants-designers more than 3 years , i didn't find 95% of the content that useful plus the price is too high to justify the content
