Hi there.. yes colpermin capsules are enteric coated. This means in this case that the peppermint oil inside is not released in the stomach because it is needed in the bowel to relax the smooth muscle. So it gets to the place it is needed. Sustained release means instead of the all the peppermint oil being released at once it is released slowly and consistently over a period of time. Which means that taking one three times a day gives a even release throughout the day. Hope this helps
