Aquila 96C Guilele Strings Set

Before we start allow me to say that I am NOT a huge fan of aquila strings on ukuleles. I did originally like them, but find now that they seem a little brash and brittle to my ears. Nothing wrong with the strings, just that my tastes have changed.However.....Believe me when I say that stringing almost any guitalele with these aquilas WILL produce a much better instrument than the manufacturers strings. I have done several now, including my own yamaha gl1 and a recent antonio carvalho solid koa. In both cases the improvement in intonation, playability and tone ( not to mention volume) has been out of all proportion to the price of the upgrade.Try them - you will NOT be disappointed.

I'd save your money if I were you. These strings snapped before I could get them anywhere near in tune. Not even close!! I had barely past standard guitar tuning having just applied the new strings when two broke. Guitalele is tuned 5 steps up from that!

I thought I would be getting a top quality product at this priceThe trebles are lovely - just like the Aquila ukulele strings - but the basses wear out far too quickly.The winding on the fourth string has worn through at the first and second fret after only three to four weeks of playing and I've had to replace it with an old guitar string.The fifth and sixth strings are still intact but nearly all the silver plate has worn off and they look very tarnished and worn thin where they touch the frets. I'm not expecting them to survive much longer.Won't buy again.

Sound better than the original strings. Lovely action. Much better than I expected. Highly recommended 🤓

Better than the original Yamaha strings, but I prefer the Aquila red series (A tuning)

Sound great, nuanced, but the first one broke within about 3 weeks :(

Really happy with strings, but I only wanted one for a broken string, why do you not sell them individually
