Very disappointed. Not as described fit or comfortably. Adjustable yes but the stability was not there.Never did try the performance.I've been in a brace for half my life. This is not one I would depend on. Maybe I used to the brand I always ware. This does not come close to being as good as the Don Joy braces produced for the one size for all or custom made to your knee.

Leg brace is hard to use.
Doesn’t stay in place. Constantly adjusting. Very difficult to put on without help.

Poor quality and cumbersome to use
Brace was hard to use and kept slipping off. Didn’t fit tight around the knee and the pads to help tighten around the knee would fall out or slip. The fabric also started to come unglued from the metal framing after just a week or two of use.

Good support
I purchased this brace to support my numb leg. Once in awhile my knee will give out and I wanted something that would keep me from falling completely to the ground when it happens. This brace works best to put on if you are sitting on the floor with your leg extended. Also, doing the straps in the order they say actually does make it stay in place longer. (just below knee, just above knee, the very top and very bottom don't seem to make a difference but do need to be done 3rd and 4th.) I wear this quite often lately, my muscles sometimes feel like mush with my leg being numb, wearing this really helps to walk without needing a cane (I'm too young for that!). I had it on for 10+ hours the other day and only had to adjust it twice. I am not a twig, more hour glass shape. I have not used the shoulder strap because it hasn't slipped much at all for me. Others have said the hook for the shoulder strap dig into their leg, it does a little bit on me. I guess the thicker you are on the upper thigh, the more it will dig in. You can take them off, they are held on by Velcro under the metal bar. I do like that you can adjust how far you can bend or straighten your leg, these seem to be made well and I think they will hold up. It doesn't get super hot wearing it since it has straps that go around your leg instead of a big neoprene wrap like some others. I would recommend this brace for anyone looking for extra support for their leg or after having surgery where you have to keep your knee in a certain position.

A MUST Have for anyone experiencing knee pain
My husband has horrible knee pain from a tear. This brave has been instrumental in him being able to access the stairs again. It’s sturdy and does stay up over clothing. Just need to tighten the straps. If you’re in need of a brace, this one is customizable and adjustable at the knee. He doesn’t sleep in. It’s a fantastic day timer.

Very good stabilizer
Very good stabilizer. Able to walk very easily with it. Couple of issues with it though. The cushioning is held on with Velcro. The problem is the Velcro has very weak adhesive on it and came off rather quickly. Some 3m 2 sided tape fixed that problem. The other is that attachments for the shoulder strap on on the padding and not in the brace itself. You can see the problem here. Pulled the padding off one side the first time I used it. Again, 3m tape fixed the issue. I am very pleased with this as I am able to walk much better with it. It's worth it, just buy a roll of 2 sided tape as well.

Pfft...
Strapped it on, locked the knee, stood up, (I needed it to play the role of a working leg, and support my 200lbs.), and I immediately collapsed to the ground. The aluminum support pieces on both sides bent out like...well...like an aluminum can.LSINO...Leg Support In Name ONLY!
