I washed this in the washing machine - cold water; delicate cycle. I hung it up to dry and it was quick to dry.

Q: What else is needed for this to work for a plague doctors costume besides a balaclava and black gloves?

Black wide collar, brown belt, black hat and white face mask with pointy beak.

I think small should be fine. When I placed my order, only small was available. With the hight and weight you posted, small should be right.
