I should have done more research. This pump works GREAT in the daylight only. We have the pump in a large pot. The expanding arms really help keep it centered in the pot, but not perfectly since the pot is larger than the expanse of the arms. HERE'S A TIP: If you do buy this pump, we added plastic zip-ties to each of the arms (cut to size) to keep the pump centered in the pot. It worked like a charm.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to install, just be sure to get that fountain piece partially below the waterline to get the best height.It does not spray high up and unless there is full sun don't expect much if anything at all

This solar fountain is 3.5W and works wonderfully. Remember these solar fountains only work when the sun is shining on them. It is such an easy way to add fun and charm on your patio or in your yard. Other similar fountains I have had always float to the edge of the basin, so the water ends up splashing over the edge of the bowl which is why I love the extendable arms. I plan to order another one soon and have sent the link to several friends who want mine. The filter is easy to clean which I try to do about once a week. It takes about 30 seconds to do it. Again, I love love love the extension arms!!!!!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this in hopes to have a nice bird bath that wouldn’t be a problem with mosquitoes- the pump only worms when in direct sun - not at all in the shade. If you want one that stores solar power, this is not for you.

The solar pump is perfect in my birdbath. The sun needs to be shining in order for the maximum amount of water to spray, the arms that extend keep the pump centered in the birdbath. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

I love the fact that the “arms” hold this solar fountain right in place in my birdbath! It’s perfect!
