I’m a 55 year old woman who just got into fishing and this pole has been great! It’s cute, too!

Just needed something I could stuff into my luggage in case I got the chance to fish and I did. IMO the only thing missing was a quick connect swivel other than that it was used a lot. Better than I was expecting it to be. It is a bait caster so that’s a must have experience using a bait caster and I’ve had years so it was perfect for me.

Most of the accessories that come with it are not going to catch anything over 4-5LB. I bought this rod twice because i liked it so much and my vehicle was broken into. (Rod was in vehicle) the line states 20LB but both times I purchased it. Even a slight tug when creating your knot will snap it. At the end of the day. The reel is great. 3.5/5 the rod is great. Also would say 3.5 out of five. (Both times the leading end has been loose but that will fix as soon as you get a a bite). The line that they provide you is mediocre at best and not as advertised(advertised as 20 pounds however you will find it breaks when you are tying your knot as i have with both lines ive been sent since i had to purchase again due to theft) a 8lb monofilament and a 12lb braided i tested against the advertised 20LB line and it doesnt hold up however that was expected. The lures are alright they arent bad at all.. my favorite is the frog lure its caught me some good catfish in the past 2 months. The spoons are as good as any other spoon and they provide plenty for a reasonable price. Lastly the grubs are definitely scented although i dont see advertising on the packaging. They havent had much luck when fishing often but they’ve caught a few here and there.This rod and reel is great for the price in my opinion. Install your own line though or you will lose a great fish and most likely a hook.

Ordered this for my Grandson, the colors are Awesome, nice put together set. Fishing today on Kayak just floating and the rod snapped. So I will say rod needs to be made a little sturdier so you can get more than a week's fishing out of it. Too much trouble for Refund of sending it back. Disappointed with this item.

Easy to cast and set up. My new favorite.

I ordered this for my teenage son not knowing what exactly he wanted. It was a little flimsy and more for beginners. It included quite a bit in the pack and got the job done. Decent for the price.

Bought this for my girlfriend as i have a similar one from sougayilang or whatever the heck the name is. I have years of fishing experience and have used shakesperes from walmart up to pfleugars and fenwicks from basspro. I am no expert but i do know a thing or two about rods. On to the good part....Took the reel out, had some heft to it. Felt for the most part like metal construction, probably plastic internals but i didnt take it out. The lures are standard run of the mill type walmart lures that WILL catch fish. I personally like the gill slits on the popper for extra big squirts when working it. The rod however felt unbelievable flimsy (even for a light action rod) i mean this thing is paper light. Upon opening it up the first time i put some pressure on the bottom most eyelet and it fel like it was going to snap. I have a goof feeling if you were to cast anything over an ounce off this thing it will break, set the hook on a snag, its gonna break. Not even going to let her use this thing for the sake of safety. Not good for an 11 year old, not good for anyone unless they want to break something. Two stars because the reel felt decent and the lures looked decentUpdate: found a decent telescopic rod from ozark trail (wallymart) for 20$. Buy some good braid and some lures with the 40$ you save.
