Samsonite Centric Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Black, Checked-Large 28-Inch

Bought this for international traveling from US to Asia and Europe in a month of traveling. It’s big and can fit a lot of things. Packed total of 49 lbs and still could take a beating during traveling. It seemed a soft shell, but it was actually pretty tough luggage. Good value and easy to use. Samsonite for the quality luggage.

The product was as expected and the seller was proficient in providing the product description and delivering the product. Not the fault of the seller, but this luggage is a bit smaller than I would like, and it doesn't have a nice big pocket for papers and receipts included. The shell is good as it does withstand the rigors of airline baggage handling.

Great luggage, seems sturdy & well made. Also fairly light - big bag is just under 10lbs. Good value. Would def recommend!

This is a good suitcase. Very durable I’ve been using it constantly over the past 5 months and with the way I’ve dropped it and how the airlines treat it it’s held up extremely well. It’s my first spinner suitcase and i don’t know how I went this long without one. It rolls very smoothly even though the wheels looks small and flimsy. I can push it wit( ease without having to raise the handle. But I’m only 5’5” so that works. It stores a lot and comes with an expander adding space to the bag. It also has the TSA lock though I haven’t used it. Two negatives: the handle as other reviewers have said is a bit flimsy as in when my bag weights 45+ pounds I always feel like using the handle to get it ,owing is going to snap the handle off or cause it to break. It’s the primary reason I just push it with the handle down. Other issue is the side handle is on the same side/half of the suitcase as the top handle. This screws with the center of gravity and makes the bag difficult to maneuver when it’s fully loaded or you’ve expanded it to full size. As I’ve seen most of samsonites luggage has the handles on the same side of the suitcase which is unfortunate. I would recommend. It was cheap, as someone who’s had multiple bags demolished by delta over the past 12 months (none were hardside) this was well worth the investment and it has kept my things dry when my bags have been moved out in the rain at airports with bad weather.

The Good: Unique orange color stands out at luggage claim. Well made and very durable as it's traveled with me for over 25,000 miles and looks new still. The built in TSA lock is a nice feature that I take advantage of. Can expand pretty dramatically for extra storage. Huge inner compartment and I really mean huge..this is what I usually take with me on work trips of 3 months or more: PS4 and 2 controllers, 7 outfits, beach towel, steel toes, hardhat, 2 novels, sweatshirt, jacket, cribbage board and cards, beer mug, boat shoes, one "going out" outfit, cutting board and chef's knife, Tupperware x 3, 2-4 novels, laptop and charger, work records, Bluetooth speaker, and more. I've actually found myself collecting packing material to fill up the excess room on occasion so things don't shift around. Additionally, the interior is well designed to keep things from shifting. Half of it can be enclosed by a mesh zipup which full separates it from the other half. The other half has a 'long way' zipper that you can stuff clothes inside and zip up, also has a stretchy buckle clip for holding your favorite sports coat on top. Roller wheels are well made and go 360 degrees with ease. There are 'feet' on every surface that you'd lay it on. One fixed handle on top, one on the side. A telescoping handle also on top with 2 variations of height. You literally wont find a better deal. I travel enough to say I'm adept at identifying things that help or hinder one's progress to an airport and to your destination and back, this product helps 100% and is worth more than the price.

I bought these when I as going to INDIA for a 20 day trip. I travel a-lot and my a-lot means - travelled 5 countries in last 1 year. Most unique trait I enjoyed most about these suitcases which stood out from all the the other travelling bags - ok not all of them but most of them was that when these come out on conveyer belt on Airport you are not flipping each and every bag to see if that one is yours. Especially on International flights where there are like 400 people looking for their bag. You are the only one out of 400 bag that has this kind of Material and design. it has been 2 years now and I haven't seen similar bag on the airport yet. They have some scratches here and there. But they have survived and I also take good care of them. But they feel like they are made of cheap plastic. Seriously when I first received them. My first impression was what in world did I just order for 400$ this doest not even gives me a feel of 100$. But i guess samsonite has proved me them and it has survived quite a lot time. I do feel if you put a alright amount of pressure on them. They will break and shatter!!

This review is not about the product. The product line gets 5 STARS. I have the Samsonite Centric large and medium spinners. Have had no issues. Sturdy. No problems with wheels breaking or corners caving/breaking in with those on 4-8 flights a year. Had for 3-4 years. Happy with the products, which is why I ordered the smaller carry on to match what I had. First order for the blue slate was received, but it was black. Not what I ordered. Didn’t match, I sent it back and re-ordered in blue slate again. Second order was delayed then delayed again. Was finally offered a refund saying my package was unable to be delivered. Last tracking location somewhere in Illinois or Ohio. Apparently it just disappeared. I was offered the option to reorder which I planned to do; however, the price on the suitcase nearly doubled—Doubled within a week! So, no issues with the product. Issue is with Amazon, their shipping carrier and the stores that are allowed to set prices and change them at will within a few days time even—but here I am, a part of the problem for continuing to pay a membership that increases each year and continuing to patronize the associated businesses that supply the products that I purchase. Basically, today, in a spirit of distain and self loathing, I give Amazon and myself one star, respectively. Samsonite is fine, but use common sense and take care of your products. Don’t pull your luggage across cobblestone, gravel, or hot damaging asphalt for miles. Car tires wear out and so will wheels. Lastly, airlines seem to have little regard for our luggage sometimes and things will happen, but it’s plastic, not iron. Anything sturdier will be heavier or far more expensive.

I bought it in 2019 before my trip to Cuba. The shipment was so quick that I packed up and headed to the airport the next day I received this luggage bag. The first time when I hold it on my hand, I was amazed by how smooth those wheels were, and how light it was. More importantly, the total size of it was so small but it still contained so many stuffs. WIth the help of it, the whole trip to cuba was so convenient! I carried my favorite board games to play with my best friends, my clothes for daily exchange, some hand-made wooden statues that I bought from cuba, and several books for someone who was living in Havana: my loved girl. Can't believe it can carry so many stuffs just in this tiny case! I can't have such a wonderful and harmonious trip to cuba without it! A year later when the pandemic happened, my parents always wanted me to fly back to China to accompany them. Everything was so messy because my flights, my final terms, and the schedule for self-quarantine all came together at the same time. I literally couldn't carry so many luggages with me but this tiny luggage solved all problems! I carried my two laptops and one ipad in it because I had to continue my online study during quarantine. It was so easy to take them out for customs checking! Until now I have returned to Columbus and this luggage still accompanied my trip back to campus. There are no any damage during such a long time! I loved this luggage bag so much and I would use it for the rest of my lifetime!

Only one I have used was the middle size. Managed to go 6 domestic flights and the zipper blew out ( Not from overloading) Might as well buy it from a expensive boutique there at least you can bring it back to someone.

llegaron muy rápido y en perfecto estado, estuve cotizando y estas las compré con muy buen precio. lo unico es que el set viene con dos tamaños muy parecidos entre si pero es bonito y el material se ve bien.

Exactly what you’d expect from Samsonite: strong and sturdy. I put all of the zips under a great deal of pressure and the case took it with no damage

Just got this today and I love the way it looks. The color is exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to use it, and will know how well it will hold up during my travels. I am a big fan of Samsonite bought a set for my husband and a few years ago and he was very pleased! I like that this set is much taller than my previous luggage set and it holds more clothes too!
